Old Oak has been around as long as I can remember, and I hope it stays that way. The food is underrated. Great Portuguese food. Nice bar set up. Has outdoor seating. Classic old school bar feel. No thrills, a real bar & grill.

Not good at all. My first clue should have been when the Diet Coke tasted old. Definitely would not go back. There was hair in my soup just overall not a good experience.

You know when you’re looking for a place that really is for the locals. That feels old school. That serves great food. Well this is that place.

2nd time in Danbury in a few months and decided to try another Portuguese restaurant. We ordered the kale soup for an appetizer, and it was delicious. For the main meal, I ordered the Portuguese steak, and my wife ordered the PORTUGUESE BACALHAU À BRÁS (SALT COD AND POTATOES). Wow, both meals were delicious and filled the large plates they use. The salt cod was big enough to feed a family of three. I would strongly recommend this restaurant if you like Portuguese food and well worth the trip.

Great place to grab a bite to eat and chill out. The Brazilian food is delicious. I had the shrimp with rice on the side with fried potatoes, and they made it spicy at my request. The sauce is delicious and they served it up quick with bread and butter and some delicious olives. Enjoy the many TV’s playing sports while eating and then shoot a game of pool if youre up for it. They’ve got some good players that frequent this place. The bartenders are all super friendly and beautiful. It helps if you speak Portuguese… But everyone is cool as can be. The vibe is chill… Drop some dollars in the jukebox and play what you like. Everyone one is friendly. I really enjoyed myself at this place. This is the type of place where someone you don’t know will offer you a bite to eat when you walk in, even if they don’t know you. Some important business people in the community hang out here. It’s a very well mannered crowd. Come out learning some Portuguese too if you don’t know it. Tudo BEM! Everything is just right at this spot. *They have a new pool table and a new coffee machine now.

Dinning is right in the bar area. Rice was hard and cold. Weird sauce on my steak. Wanted a soda and waitress could’ve understand me.
Fried potatoes were good
