We are a restaurant/bar with fantastic food at a decent price. We have daily specials listed on our Facebook page, a full menu always available, homemade soups and desserts, children menu and more! We serve cold beer in bottles, can or draft and flavored bottled drinks as well as sodas and tea. We have four pool tables, darts, jukebox and plenty of viewing for television events. Children are welcome until 9 PM. We have a drive-through convenient for call in orders to be picked up. You may call for parties and events. The Bluegrass Tavern was established in September 1976 and it’s still family owned to this day. We have served in Nelson County for all these years and you are never a stranger once you walk in the door.

I ordered wings and pig Mac burger. Both were absolutely amazing. Then I saw desserts and got two different ones. They are homemade there and i absolutely loved both of them. This is a great place with great prices and a must visit while traveling to Bardstown Kentucky.

The Maynard taters was greasy and didn’t have any seasoning on them, the patty melt was bland with no flavor. They forgot ” cook got sidetracked ” we were told ,the seasoned fries on the chicken sandwich which tasted like the freezer. This food was really below mid, Actually should have just sent it all back. Maybe an off day i don’t know, but it was our first time there. Not good at all. The appetizer which were the loaded tots were the only think that was good. Definitely not worth the money.

Wow, this bar is great! Pool tables, great selection of drinks (no liquor), amazingly good food, excellent service and lots of room to sit and talk. Soft music under the sound of people chatting and having fun.

Don’t judge a book by its cover! This place was great! We got there close to 4pm. There were some locals at the bar and that was about it. The menu is more than just “bar food” it’s got a menu with good choices along with some fun choices. They also have a good challenge. I didn’t try it, but I will next time! It is called the “Fry Way to Hell” burger. Don’t pass up the loaded hush puppies! The burger was great!

Disgusting! To start, they were out of near everything, including chicken wings. I went with the pulled pork special with no bun and it looked and tasted like dog food for $14. She informed me that they just ran out of Mac and cheese so I went with baked beans. My wife went to the bathroom and they were out of toilet paper. I had three bites of my food and told the bartender that it was absolutely vial. She ignored me. Wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.
