What truly made the experience outstanding, though, was our server, Agah Siab. From the moment we sat down, he was attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. He knew the menu thoroughly, gave excellent recommendations, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. His timing was perfect, his attitude was warm and respectful, and he made us feel valued as guests. Service like that makes a lasting impression.
It’s rare to find both exceptional food and exceptional service in the same place, but Kudus Kabob delivered on both. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic flavors and top-tier hospitality.
The restaurant also didn’t feel clean the floor and tables were dirty and it seemed like people who knew the staff were being served before others. Overall, not a good experience, and I hope management improves the food, service, and cleanliness.
Kunduz Kabab – Concord, CA
I’ve been to Kunduz Kabab multiple times, and it’s truly one of my favorite places to eat! The food is absolutely wonderful — especially the Muling Pulao, Tikka Kabob, Bolani, and Turkish Wrap. Everything is cooked to perfection and full of rich, authentic flavor.
Even though I travel over an hour to get there, it’s always worth the trip. The quality, taste, and hospitality make it a standout restaurant. I really hope they continue serving these amazing dishes just the way they do now, without changing a thing.
I highly recommend Kunduz Kabab to everyone — if you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out!
We began our meal with the chicken soup, which was a delightful and comforting start. It was rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. For the main course, we chose the qabeli pallow, which was simply superb. The rice was perfectly cooked, fragrant, and studded with tender pieces of lamb, sweet carrots, and raisins, creating a harmonious and unforgettable taste. We also enjoyed the chicken kabab, which was both healthy and incredibly delicious. The chicken was moist and expertly seasoned, grilled to perfection, and served alongside a generous portion of fluffy rice and a fresh, crisp salad.
Beyond the delicious food, the restaurant’s atmosphere was a major highlight. The back dining area, in particular, offers a truly unique and beautiful setting. The setup includes traditional Afghan rugs on the floor, surrounded by large pillows and toshak (mattresses) for seating, which made me feel as if I were in Kabul. It was an awesome setting to enjoy a wonderful meal.
The overall service was excellent, though I would humbly suggest they consider bringing a glass of water to every table as a standard practice. This small addition would make the dining experience even more seamless.
I highly recommend Kunduz Restaurant to anyone seeking authentic Afghan cuisine in a beautiful setting.
Service is very slow, it took them 10-15min to come for an order and then took additional 25-30min before food come to table.
Never giving them my business again.
