The service here is excellent. Very attentive waiter, and fast service. The sweet tea was very good, as well as the fried cheese and marinara. The rolls and salad were both good. We ordered the tour of Italy and a chicken parmesan sub. The sub was a very large portion, but the chicken in it as well as the tour of Italy was chicken from a bag, and was mediocre at best. The Lasagna was decent but did not have much sauce with it. The Fettuccine was heavy on the olive oil, and was very “greasy”. Overall for an Italian place in Carthage not all bad. Obviously we have not had everything on the menu. There is a large selection to choose from.

Monday, March 18, 2019 was opening day at Tuscany’s Italian Restaurant and I decided to check it out.
The interior of the building looks pretty much the same as with the previous occupants, but the decor works. I had the Tour of Italy with a Caesar salad and I’m impressed. A couple seated at the next table said the Marsala as well as the Spaghetti were excellent. The prices for dinner are reasonable, the food was tasty and well prepared and the service was appropriately attentive.
It’s “Pay at the register”, and I spoke briefly with the owner. He related that he’s part of a family who own and operate a number of Italian restaurants in East Texas. Among those are Cafe Italia in Marshall as well Roma Italian in Athens. I’ve enjoyed many meals at Roma over the past 15 years, and I’ve often told Adam, the owner there, that he should open a restaurant in Carthage. I think Tuscany’s presence here is pure coincidence, but I’m happy that quality Italian has finally made it to Carthage.

Just FYI… this place is a joke.. we waited 3 hours on Mother’s Day for frozen food that the chef/owner (Tony) couldn’t even reheat. Our waiter did the best he could given what he has to deal with…. he (Tony) verbally accosted us after we were told our meal would be comped. We asked our waiter to go get him and he was extremely rude to the point of telling us we had to leave. Once we left we realized our credit card was charged 3 different times. I did call back, & he hung up on me! Not the Mother’s Day meal I was expecting!

Has gone downhill fast since they opened. Was told that there would be an upcharge for caesar salad, but we were charged 6.99 each. Granted we have been in there before and they upcharge was around 2.00 each. Plus the food was not near as good as it was when they first opened. And they don’t offer everything that is on the menu anymore. We should have known there were going to be issues when we walked in and we were the only ones eating there. We will not be back.

I must have come here about 10 or 15 times and never been disappointed. The food here is amazing. People here are nice. I highly recommend eating here. You can’t go wrong with the food here.

IF YOU LIKE ITALIAN FOOD !!!, this is the difference in Americanized Italian and real Italian. Like, go to Mexico and eat or go to Montery’s Tex-Mex cafe. This is true Italian. So for all of you whiners that like to go order a chicken fried steak in a Mexican food place you can go elsewhere. For those of you who have been traveling and who know what Cuisine is this is Italian food. Enjoy

First time was fantastic , that was the first day . We have tried it twice since , food is ok but not consistent and both times we ordered to go they forgot our salad and bread with our meals . My daughtered ordered food to go it was all wrong and when they tried to return it they refused to fix it or give their money back .
