There’s couple dish that we want to order is not on the menu anymore the chef took it out. Thats what the helpful server said. And the Thai sausage is kind of pricey for one at least it would have been nice if there’s two. The duck, the oxtail and new york steak are pretty good though

This place has been on my bookmarks ever since they were serving chicken rice, and now that they specialize in Khao Soi, I finally stopped by. Absolutely worth it!

The space is small, intimate, and fills up quickly during peak hours, so plan accordingly.

They offer amazing Khao Soi options like wagyu, seared duck, goat, braised beef, oxtail, and lamb leg. We ordered the wagyu and seared duck, and both were outstanding. The meat was incredibly tender and melted in your mouth.

The broth was rich and flavorful, perfectly balanced by the pickled mustard greens and a squeeze of lime. The crispy wonton on top added a great crunch.

Overall, a fantastic spot for Khao Soi lovers! can’t wait to come back and try the other proteins!

The owner also manages another restaurant nearby, Secret Congee in the Ballard area. Highly recommend checking that place too!

Ginger & Scallion does one thing—khao soi—and they do it very well. The broth is flavorful, creamy, and slightly sweet. The noodles are perfectly cooked. And if you get the seared duck (which I’d recommend), it’s tender and juicy. They also have rotating appetizers and desserts, both of which I tried and both of which were tasty.

It’s a pretty small space, with a half a dozen tables seating two and two tables seating 4. I imagine they can push some tables together for slightly larger groups, but it would get tight pretty quickly. But the vibe is great. It’s lively with lots of chatty diners, yet it’s not overly loud or claustrophobic. The service is quick and the staff is friendly.

If you like khao soi, this is the place to get it.

Good overall, but price to portion ratio is a little high. It really depends on which protein you choose, but their best sellers are $25 and up (with tax) for a bowl that is not that large. The broth and proteins are flavorful and seasoned well, and the noodles are extremely fresh. Good but not outstanding. Customer service was mixed, as some workers were very kind and others were not very helpful in guiding us on how to order. I think it’s worth to try but I will not come often.

Comforting bowl of Khao Soi! They have different protein options to pick from. I loved the meat on the oxtail so tender! The a5 wagyu special and duck were juicy. Add some of their chili oil for some heat

Got the braised beef kaoh soil, just enough spice that you feel it but can still enjoy the flavor. It was creamy and rich without being too heavy. The texture from the fried noodle and crunchy garlic/onion brought the whole meal together. Highly recommend.

This place has one menu item which means you know it’s gonna be great. I got the braised beef option and my only complaint is that I didn’t think to get extra meat bc it was the best part!! The beef was so tender & was perfectly cooked. Really great little restaurant

You know a place is going to be good when there is only one dish on the menu, and the beef tenderloin khao soi was incredible. Probably the best I have ever had. The flavors were rich, balanced, and deeply satisfying.

You order through a QR code, which was a little tricky since the WiFi and cell service were spotty, but once that was sorted out, everything went smoothly. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the vibe was simple and unpretentious. It is all about the food here. Definitely worth a visit.

Love the creamy soup base. I got the duck, she got the cheaper beef. SO good. Maybe giant people could complain that they want bigger portions. But nah. Love my duck beast.

I got the duck as my choice of protein, would highly recommend. A great portion, tender and juicy without any gameyness.

Try the chili oil at your table to adjust to your spice level and pair it all with a Thai iced tea. Best way to cure your winter depression.

(I don’t like the crispy noodles so I got them on the side)
