This place has the absolute BEST BBQ!!!
I’ve made it my tradition to take the 3 hour drive once a month to get my fix of both their delicious baby back ribs and the scenery going up.

Enroute to Cascades National Park, we stopped here as we saw it driving by… because we wanted to make sure we could get food before everything in the area closed.
Cheesesteaks were good. Kids ordered chicken fingers/fries. Also good. Ordered a pizza to go also. Total bill around $90 for 6 people.
The military discount that was previously offered here under previous owners has been discontinued by the new owners who apparently are not locals and are from California
Bathroom is inside, kind of in the back of the kitchen.
You can eat inside or outside on picnic tables.
A little historical chapel is across the street.

Go here! If you are hungry & want good country cooking. Very rare hand formed burger patties, not frozen pucks. I asked & Brian & Rob were cooking. I love local spots & supporting local folks rather than Corpo chains. This is real & delicious!

Burgers are good but let’s talk crinkle fries. These are the best crinkle fries I have ever had. Soft on the inside, crisp and crunchy on the outside. I don’t know if it’s because this was the first hot meal from being in the mountains for 4 days or they are really the best. That is up to you to decide. Do not get the coleslaw as a side – okay but awful value compared to the fries. Both size and quality.

I got the rueben and my husband got the bbq pork special. WOW- very good food for the prices! We would eat here again. Some of the best BBQ I’ve ever tried. The fries were really good, too, and I’m normally not a crinkle fry fan. We will definitely stop in on our next road trip through.

I give this place 2 stars because the staff was great and they really try and the restaurant is cute and clean, otherwise I’d give it a zero.
In short the food was awful and insanely overpriced for quality and the area.
I got the “meatloaf,” which was hamburger meat in a pan with onions, not meatloaf, and burnt. It also came with mashed potatoes which I’m sure was mixed with water and not butter or dairy of any sort. The side of veggies might have been microwaved, and for a long time… veggie smush.
Honestly if it was half the price I’d be much happier – but for 2 people, 2 dinners, and 2 glasses of “wine,” at the price of almost $70 with tip??? When the food is awful, and wine is awful, no thank you.
In short skip it until they figure it out.

We stop by on our way to Winthrop, our first time in this route, so we didn’t know about this place. We took our chance for lunch. We got fish and chips. Delicious! Fish was very crunchy outside, moist and well cooked inside and the fries were freshly fried and perfect. We will stop again, everytime we go by this road.

After a weekend of camping we got our salty fried fixings here with their delicious crinkle cut fries and onion rings. Very nice staff! They were almost sold out of fudge when we got there. Will definitely stopped there in the future!

Super friendly absolutely love this little place from the decor to the smile happy to help faces from staff. I’ve only had trouble with an order once and they didn’t hesitate to make it right and make sure I left a happy customer.
