If you’re anywhere near Emmitsburg, MD – Rocky’s Pizza is a must-visit. I was in town for an overnight stay and a local highly recommended this spot. Let me just say: this is hands down the best pizza I’ve had in a long time.
They gave a good indoor where there are many funny quotes written all over the place.
Everything is made fresh to order – you can literally taste the difference. Our pizza came out hot, loaded with all the veggies and chicken toppings we requested. They don’t skimp on quality or quantity. It takes a little time, but that’s because they actually cook the meat and prepare everything fresh right after you order.
The place has even won awards for the best pizza in the tri-state area for the past three years – and it shows. The flavors are authentic, the portions are very huge, and the service is great. Highly recommend for family dinners, casual hangouts, or even a quick bite if you’re passing through.

I am a US Army Disabled Veteran. My Family and I are new to the area coming from Washington DC to hopefully move to this place they call Smithsburg. We decided to stop in to get a bite to eat. I was greeted by the owner Adrian a nice guy with a cozy establishment. It was lunch time and I was intrigued by the menu. Pizza Pasta and much more. We sat down to eat. My Cousin had a small pizza and eat a few slices. He stated that it was delicious. My Wife had Shrimp Basket and Fries. She was very pleased and kept saying how good the fries were. I had a slice of cheese pizza and a Steak and Cheese. The food we ordered and eat was very good.We had food left over . We packed it up to go and headed back to Washington DC. My Cousin on the way back eat the rest of the pizza. I personally can’t wait to go back and enjoy some more of the Italian Dishes they have to offer. This was a great place and I recommend it . Stopped based on ratings and being on our route home from Hagerstown. Food was ok. Pasta was done well – not al dente or well done. Meat sauce was pk but needed more garlic and oregano. There was a large amount of beef. The garlic bread was heated sub rolls with butter and garlic. The veal parm was very good. Two cutlets with great sauce. We brought food home so portions are great.
Ladies room is tiny. And the restaurant was cold.

I used to go to this location over 20 years ago. I recently went back for dinner and was surprised to see that it hasn’t changed one bit. Very nostalgic! The inside could use some remodeling as it’s getting outdated however the food is just as tasty as I recall it being. We ordered a large pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms. It came out fast and was absolutely delicious! Our young server was quick, efficient, and kind. It wasn’t overcrowded so it was nice to have a dinner conversation. Perfect for families or couples. If you like Rocky’s pizza and want a sit down restaurant experience, this is the place to go!

ordered takeout small pepperoni and sausage pizza over the phone and when i came to pick up, i checked it and it didn’t have pepperoni, no prob, he probably just didn’t hear me, so i just asked her to do whatever is easiest… i guess that was my mistake… she proceeded to go into the back and grab the pepperonis with her bare hands the guy who took them out of the oven put a glove on to take them out but i don’t think your supposed to just reach dirty hands in the pepperoni container anyway?

I ordered from Rocky’s in Smithsburg on 2/27/25, about 5:30 pm. At 6:45 pm, I called back asking about our order, he reply was “he left here a while ago, I don’t know what is taking so long.” At 7 pm, I called back and asked for a refund, we order food else where. I was told it should be there any time now. I already have other food now, and they still did not refund me my money. And they got the food.
WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING!!!!
The original owners that came here when I was a kid were so nice, I don’t know what happened as it was handed down the line.
