The Help is extremely nice. They have the a couple of waitresses that are so incredibly friendly and helpful. The food is good. The pizza is good. I’m Italian and the pizza is good. I have an extra done and it’s just delicious. The ranch is wonderful so give it a try

ProS: We have eaten here mostly for the fish fry. Its seems to be the only place around that the fish comes out hot, not soggy and, not overly breaded and the pieces are decent size. If you can get in there early, it’s not to loud. Cons: The staff has been lukewarm. Sometimes they are really friendly and other times indifferent. I also do not like the bar stools. They are so uncomfortable. Seems most of the chairs are like that, so if there are not normal chairs available, I would rather eat someplace else. The prices are also pretty high for a bar.

The food was decent. The prices were okay but the portions were larger than expected. The service was good considering how short staffed they are. There is one person working in the kitchen and one person out front. The poor girl out front had to be the bartender and the waitress. I have to give her credit. There were 35 people there when we were there and she was able to keep up with every one at the bar and everyone seated all by herself.

First visit on our way from the Northwoods – easy to find off of I39 – exit 163 at Casimir Rd, Right on N 2nd St – just a minute down the road. First visit – I tried the 3 piece cod – Friday Fish Fry – I liked the fish and I like when a place offers their fish fry throughout the day. I had the waffle fries (which were a little cold when served but I didn’t have time to send them back, which I’m sure they would have easily accommodated), she tried the shrimp dinner – they were delicious. The hit of the visit was the corn nuggets – if you like corn nuggets – you need to stop at Backwoods Bar & Grill and give them a try. Good first vist, we’ll definitely stop again. Enjoy, we did.

It is Friday night and you are so busy at your restaurant. We ordered and waited a bit, but the wait was worth it. Kuddos to all the employees that showed up and worked. Our food was great and the service was great. We had a group of 8. We love this bar/restaurant. Awesome job with being short staffed.

Whoever owns this establishment should be ashamed. The food and drink were mediocre at best. The atmosphere was very unwelcoming and unclean. There was one employee, however, that was very kind and attentive (I think their name started with a Z? I can’t remember). Nevertheless, I was very unimpressed by the service and the place itself. be avoiding at all costs.

Come here for the patio view, not the food or service. We’ve been coming here for four years, and they are chronically understaffed. I don’t mind walking a few feet to pick up my food, so not having table service is not the problem. They have decent pizza and baked cod, but are very stingy with condiments. Gluten-free options are available, but the menu is not well marked, and the staff has little information about the alternative options that are available. Avoid the lemonade and jalapeño poppers.
