Absolutely love this place! Dimitri & George are just the nicest guys and they have a lovely waitress who is a real sweetheart. I love the chicken with lemon potatoes and their salads are so delicious. The desserts are equally amazing. The orange cake is especially unforgettable—moist, fragrant, and bursting with citrusy goodness. It’s the perfect sweet ending to a delicious meal. Highly recommend to anyone craving authentic Greek flavors and warm hospitality!

It truly is a gem and the best Greek spot in the area.
Every time I come here, I have never been disappointed. The food is always amazing, fresh, and the service is also great. From the appetizers, to the salads, to the mixed grill platter, literally everything I have tried here has been incredible!
The atmosphere is also very welcoming and they play nice music!
I would say I am definitely a repeat customer and I will continue to be!

I am extremely excited to write this review! Amazing Greek food! From the dressing on the salad to the flavors of the Kebabs! We met the lovely man who gave us a table outside in the afternoon. Obviously off hours. We were very happy to be seated. I’m very sure they were super busy for dinner service:)

We’ve been going to Kavos for years now and I should have written a review before, the food is outstanding, better than some high end NYC greek restaurants, always consistent and delicious but what deserves more attention is the service which is incomparable, servers are amazing, we usually get the same server ( J Vásquez V) and he is so good, he remembers what we usually order even if it’s been months since our last visit, we truly appreciate that, very personal service. Thank you Kavos!! See you soon!!

Cozy Greek restaurant in Nyack, with a nice atmosphere, always with pleasant background music that allows you to have a conversation without having to raise your voice. the staff always has a smile and are willing to give the best attention.
I have already been to this restaurant several times and it is a bit difficult for me to order a different dish since what I order is always exquisite, at a good temperature and with a very good flavor.
They have an extensive menu that has appetizers, soup, salads, gyro, meats, desserts and more.
The Gyro sandwich or Platter you need to try it is my favorite.

I loved this place so much, I went two days in a row. All in all, I had the eggplant dip (each day), grilled calamari (each day), lamb gyro, and the branzino filet (recommended by a very nice server). I don’t have a single bad thing to say about Kavos. I’ll go back next time I’m in town.

I love Greek food, culture and people, so when I stumbled upon Kavos while walking the streets of Nyack, it was an immediate choice for me. Kavos is a fantastic Greek restaurant with delicious food, great service, and reasonable prices. For appetizers, I tried the Spanakopita Spinach Pie, and for the main dish, I had the Beef Gyro Platter. The food was delicious, and I was especially impressed by the generous portion size of the platter. It was really huge! Out of respect for the chef, I managed to eat the entire portion, but I didn’t need to eat anything the next day. :))

SECOND REPORT CARD
Staff A+++++ Was served for dinner by someone. who did a fabulous job.! . We found out that that person was actually the new owner of this restaurant . . We were so so surprised ! He was awesome!!!! We were also introduced to his son , who was doing so much work in the restaurant.
The owner went out of his way to help my partner , who had a walker , get into our taxi . We were so surprised that he came out of the restaurant , without a coat , to help .
Atmosphere A+++++ Thank goodness it it still a very clean, comfortable and a lovely place
Meal A+++++ We were very, very hungry . Got two huge chicken souvlaki dishes that had two side orders with each one. They were so , so delicious and plentiful . Had to take home some of it.
Recently ate here again . We can’t stay away !

Stopped by Nyack for a day trip and found this great Greek restaurant!! It’s quaint, and what I would describe as a Greek cafe vibe!! We stopped by for a lunch and were not disappointed! The grilled octopus on a Kavos Roka was yummy! The Kavos Gyro was very good! Nice portions and very reasonably priced! The octopus is so tender not chewy! For dessert it had to be Baklava, which was so darn good!!! The service was very special– shout out to Dimitri, the owner, for checking in on us to say hello and to Noemy, our friendly server!! Oh, and they have a bar too!! A must visit if you are fond of Greek food!!
