This five guys location is awesome. The fries and the burgers taste so great, that this feels like fast food heaven. This location is near my high school and I go there every Monday and Thursday. One of the managers, named Pam, was very respectful. One time we went there, it was our first day of school and my brother came to eat here with me. When she took our order, we told her that it was our first day of school and this was one way we finished the first day strong.

Stopped to order 1 cheeseburger, 1 little bacon cheeseburger and 1 regular fry on my way home from work today. A couple of customers, no line, not busy. I even paid cash. I get home 45 minutes later and we open up the food and the Cheeseburger has NO MEAT and NO CHEESE. Just bun and toppings. For $12.69 plus tax. How does that even happen? I just tried to call the restaurant and someone picked up the phone and then hung up. SMH.

They make the best french fries I have ever had in my life so far. The fries here are promoted from a humble side dish to a main attraction. As a foreigner living in the US, I am always amazed how an apparently simple and ordinary thing such as french fries can be so flavorful.

How can you not eat here? Burgers are still the best in the dmv area. The only thing that came close was BGR but that shut down years ago.

I ordered a burger with grilled onion, when I got it the onion was raw. I took the sandwich to the guy who served it but he was very rude and mean and didn’t even look at it. All what he said “it’s grilled” and he looked the other way to help the next customer.
That was very disappointing customer service and sandwich

By grading as a fast food chain I can honestly say burgers and concept are great for their counterparts such as bk or mcdonalds, fries were phenomenal as well.

Boys club.
On December 2nd 2025 at ~1250 PM I witnessed two of the employees and a guest loudly make comments about a female guest, who was visually disturbed by the comments and left mid-order. The other staff did nothing.

The food here is hot or miss. You either get soft bacon and semi grilled onions or everything cooked to perfection. They also aren’t as generous with throwing extra fries in the bag [what five guys is known for] like other locations. This place really should put customer service/satisfaction over quantity.
Also the cook/grill guy has a mean stare on his face as if you ordered something wrong.
If you want the only decent burgers on bethesda row go here. If you want five guys quality, you [may] be disappointed

I would not recommend this Five Guys location. I ordered two milkshakes and watched the lady make them. The milkshakes were so liquidy and the toppings were barely mixed in. The straws were also paper which is very difficult to drink a milkshake out of.

Fries 10/10 arguably McDonald’s tier, but bigger and they give you a LOT. Only buy small(little) fries, there’s no difference in the amount you get between Small Med Large.
Burger 9/10 but it made me feel greasy and slow on the inside for a few hours after eating. Bacon is not needed, there is enough fat already in it. Standard burgers are huge with two patties. Couldn’t fit the whole stack in one bite. “Little” hamburgers are one patty.
Shakes 8/10 very hard to beat. Banana shake is quite good, Oreo shake is very sugary.
Peanuts 10/10. You can get unlimited free peanuts. They use peanut oil to fry their fries. Opening peanuts is fun and tasty and keeps you occupied while waiting for your food.
Hot dogs 9/10 they cut them down the middle for an extra fatty extra crispy taste. I will start cooking my dogs like this after trying. They’re better than baseball dogs, but aren’t too special otherwise
