Being raised in a family with Italian heritage, I am incredibly picky about where I eat Italian food. Most places just don’t get the “authentic” feel or flavor right—but Erio’s is the real deal. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is quaint, warm, and cozy, making you feel like you’re in a family kitchen.
The service was outstanding and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. I highly recommend the Petto Di Pollo Bacio D’Amore “Kiss of Love” – it was one of the best Italian dishes I’ve ever had. If you want authentic food that tastes like home, this is the spot in St. Peters.

We ordered a pizza and the Toasted Breaded Cannelloni via the online ordering system. When we went to pick up the food (on time) and brought it home we found that the pizza was not only cold, but burnt. I proceeded to call and they said to come back and they’ll make a fresh one. I explained that now our appetizer (the toasted breaded Cannelloni) will be cold and cannot be enjoyed with the rest of the food. The individual on the phone advised they would remake the order and throw in dessert for the trouble. He also acknowledged that they may have made the pizza sooner than the time we were to pick up.

Upon arrival I waited a good few minutes before any of the multiple employees acknowledged me. Finally a young man came and said that he would be right back with my pizza. He then brings out only the pizza. I asked where the rest of the order that was discussed on the phone. He said that he can have it made, but it would take some time. Concerning that this would now make my pizza cold, I asked for a refund. He advised they would just refund it over the next couple of days. I asked if I could get a business card for the manager and/or owner and he came back with a voided receipt.

This young man was actually very apologetic and nice. He was only doing his Job. The frustrating part was that not only did they not remake the entire meal as mentioned on the phone by either the owner and/or manager. The owner and/or manager did not have the courtesy to come out and discuss the issue in person and sent the young man instead who was clearly nervous and not familiar with the phone conversation.

Yes, they did give us a refund and remade the pizza (At least a voided tab for now) for the mishap. Yes, the young man was very apologetic. The frustrating part was that the owner and/or manager would not come out to discuss, and the young man, was stuck trying to figure it out. I even asked to speak to whoever I talked to on the phone. He advised it was the owner and said he was just in the back.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hidden gem – family-owned Italian done right

Last night Stephanie and I tried Erio’s Ristorante for her first time, and honestly… I can’t believe it took us this long.

From the outside, it doesn’t scream “amazing food.” It’s a true hole-in-the-wall that you could easily walk past—but those are always the places that end up being the best. They’ve been here around 40 years, family owned and passed down, and you can feel that the second you sit down.

We started with calamari fritti and fried artichoke hearts, and both were phenomenal. The calamari was incredibly tender with a light, perfect breading. The artichoke hearts tasted unbelievably fresh. Calamari came with marinara, artichokes with garlic butter—and yes, dipping everything in both sauces is absolutely the move (I tested it thoroughly).

We split Erio’s house salad, which was the perfect size for two and really well done. Fresh bread came out with the meal, which is always a win.

For mains, we had the fettuccine parmigiano and manicotti with the mixed red and white sauce. The cream sauce on the fettuccine was out of this world—clearly made fresh to order—and the pasta itself was excellent. The manicotti was just as good; the ricotta was incredibly smooth and flavorful.

We each had a couple glasses of wine, and even with appetizers, salad, entrees, and dessert, our total bill was just over $100—very reasonable for the quality and experience.

Service was fantastic. Everything was timed perfectly: appetizers, then salad, then entrees—no rushing, no long waits. It felt relaxed and intentional.

Heads up: they do get a busy dinner rush. We arrived around 7:00 and only waited about 10 minutes, but if you’re planning to come earlier—around 4:00–5:00—that’s peak time, and calling ahead for a reservation is a smart move.

For dessert, Joan makes her own cheesecake and death-by-chocolate cake. Unfortunately, they were out of cheesecake, but the death by chocolate more than made up for it—rich, perfect, and a great way to end the meal.

Amazing food, great service, fair prices, and that old-school family-restaurant feel that’s hard to find anymore. Stephanie and I will absolutely be back many times.

Use to love this restaurant when Pete was the owner. They said the food will not change, well they are wrong. It’s no where near the same.
Tonight Placed a to go order, was told 30 minutes it was 45 which was fine because they were busy. Where the issue was my food came out, I told the girl I asked where to pay, she took my food back to the kitchen. I waited another 10 minutes or so for someone to bring me my ticket. Then as I got my ticket the girl brought my food back out and was trying to hand it to me while I was signing my ticket.
My pizza box was covered in bread crumbs like they sliced a loaf of bread on the box.
I got home (5 minutes away) and my pizza looked like it was leftover from the night before. Cold, hard and no flavor what so ever.
My salad had several pieces of the end of the head of lettuce in it and the garlic cheese bread, the cheese was hard.
Now I remember why I didnt go back after the 1 time after Pete retired.
We have been customers of Erio’s since they were over on Woodson Rd. All I can say is it’s very sad.

My goodness! My husband and I went for our anniversary! The manicotti is awesome and you can get it with a mix of the red and white sauce! Yum!
My husband got the grouper. It was amazing as well cooked to perfection! And don’t get me started on the amazing desserts. The lightest fluffiest Tiramisu ever and an amazing soft creamy cheesecake! Great coffee. Friendly staff and owned and run by an amazing family!

First time at Erios. Probably one of the best Italian restaurants in the St. Charles area. VERY small, so make sure you make reservations in advance. The service was attentive and fast, couldn’t ask for a better experience.

We started off with some toasted ravioli and toasted cannelloni bites. Both were very good, served with a house red sauce. Our entrees came with a Caprese Salad and Roasted broccoli.

– Pepperoni Pizza 4/5
– Fettuccini Alfredo 5/5
– Rack of Lamb 5/5
– Cannelloni with the Red and White Sauce 5/5
– Caprese Salad 5/5
– Tiramisu 5/5

Ambiance took me back in time with the wallpaper. Very much St. Louis Hills little Italian vibe. Definitely more casual than some of the Italian restaurants in St. Charles.

Overall a great experience! I would recommend Erios.

I have ordered from here several times on doordash but had some out of town guests that wanted Italian so I brought them here. The good is even better fresh from the kitchen. I had the veal piccata with pasta and pink sauce. The veal was so good, the sauces were amazing. The fresh toasted bread….also amazing. They were super busy but someone always made sure we were taken care of. I am looking forward to eating in person again.
