Jim’s Rib Haven – Where the Ribs Fall Off the Bone and Into Your Heart ♥️
Let me tell you about my journey to Jim’s Rib Haven, a place so good, I’m convinced it’s a secret the locals are selfishly hoarding!
Walking in, I expected a crowd and a busy scene , maybe a marching band. Instead? Empty. Like, tumbleweed empty. Just a hidden gem apparently. Their loss, my gain!
I ordered the baby back ribs dinner plate, because when in Rib Haven, you don’t order anything else. These ribs? Oh man. Fall-off-the-bone doesn’t do them justice. These things practically signed their own eviction notice before I even picked them up. Perfectly smoked, tender, and kissed by a spicy (but not too spicy) sauce that flirted with vinegar, got sweet for a second, and then hit you with a peppery wink. It was thin, more of a BBQ glaze than your classic thick sauce but honestly? It worked. There was plenty of it too, perfect for sopping up with the two slices of buttered white bread they tossed on the plate like they knew exactly what I was about to do.
The mac and cheese? Creamy, reliable, but like that coworker who shows up, does the job, and leaves without making small talk. Solid, but it knew it wasn’t the star of this show. The green beans though? Oh, they showed up. Seasoned beautifully with a smoky whisper that made me wonder if they’d been secretly hanging out by the smoker out back.
Every bite was a mini celebration of flavor, and the fact that I didn’t have to elbow anyone out of the way to get it? Priceless.
I’m only in town for work, but Jim’s Rib Haven felt like a hug from a Southern grandma I never had. If you’re nearby and not eating these ribs, you’re doing life wrong. Someone get this place a spotlight and a line out the door! Because it’s criminal how empty it was.
Come hungry and bring extra napkins! You’re gonna need ‘em.

I have enjoyed gr8 amounts from their menu selections and their portions are generous. You will be taking left overs. 1st pic is a boney box I took 2go.
My babe n I ate in. She had ½ chicken n two sides. I had Beef ribs dinner with sides. (2nd 3rd pics) Their Mac & Cheeze is my favorite side than fries. Use the fries to no up BBQ Sauce u kno.
Best ribs to my knowledge beside our own homemade BBQ of da grill.

Had to try Jim’s was told they had the best ribs. They were right, my waitress April was friendly and guided me what to order. Tried Back Ribs with hot sauce which she told me wasn’t real hot, it had great flavor. Baked beans had some of there BBQ sauce in them and were great. Also had home cut fries very good too. If you are in the Quad cities you have to stop here. April was a sweetheart from start to finish.

On a good day, Jim’s competes with the best barbecue you can get anywhere. On a bad day, you get ribs reheated in the microwave. They have inconsistent quality, but it is always worth the gamble for me to try to catch one of those good days. Their sauce is amazing.

Orders a rack of ribs, green beans, potato salad, mac and cheese, coleslaw, with 2 rice crispy treats. Worth every penny!!!
Reading the reviews i was hesitant to go. I was greeted with a friendly smile and good hospitality. Everything is homemade. From the sauce to the sides. Definitely a foodie and this is better than to “Famous” spot my homeboy told me about. #Enjoy

Was here today with my baby sister. I drove 18 hours to Ohio yesterday to pick her up and bring her for Thanksgiving week. This was her first choice for her first dinner out. She had rib dinner, and I had a beef sandwich with Mac n cheese. Everything was amazing, and my sister even brought home her leftovers for later. Our waitress was very pleasant and checked back with us often. Paying our bill was very fast and easy. The restroom was very clean. Highly recommend.

I took my entire family here. We were 9 adults deep and had 3 kids and 1 baby. My cousin and I were nervous because of some recent bad reviews, however, my grandmother was in town and this is the spot she wanted to go for family dinner. First off, Shout Out to Tiana, she is an exceptional waitress and took very good care of us. She was very considerate of the kids and very kind the entire time we were there. We kind of took over the whole place but everyone was so nice and made sure we enjoyed our family dinner. The food was DELICIOUS! The BBQ sauce did not disappoint, everything came out HOT, and we ordered SO MUCH. Even with everything we ordered it was very affordable. I was expecting to drop WAY more money on this dinner. So Grandma picked a great place. Definitely will be going back when I return to town since my best friend lives 4 mins away.
