Had such great potential but there were so many issues. The crab dip has zero crab in it. It’s just cheese. The wings were good. The sandwich was good. The buffalo shrimp wrap had zero shrimp in half of the wrap and limited shrimp on the other side. The service was terribly slow and we were forgotten about after being seated and while waiting for drink refills. This was after waiting about 30 mins with only one party ahead of us. I will give credit where it is due- they tried to make it better by making us shrimp for the wrap but the experience was just so bad by that point the whole meal was ruined.
The only time we got service at all when when my husband flagged down another server to get our server.
When trying to tell the manager about the issue she was too busy tending the bar to stop and take time to listen to my husband’s complaints. Yes, they gave us a free piece of pie but it was not with the over 2 hr experience for mediocre food.

Yellowfin Pub on the Morehead City waterfront is the best on a sunny day. It’s a great place to catch up with a friend and enjoy a delicious lunch, a magical view of the water and excellent servers. I love the BLT with homemade pimento cheese and the side of very good potato salad. Yellowfin is a wonderful addition to the venerable Sanitary Fish and Seafood Restaurant adjacent, in the same family.

This was our second time back…food was amazing as usual ..had a super hard brioche roll on the crab burger, the chef sent it back out on a hamburger bun..EWWW!!! But talked to the waitress and management and they made it right along with it finally coming back out on a soft brioche!! The atmosphere is great, the staff is great and the food is GREAT!!! DELICIOUS!!! Our favorite place on the waterfront…a few hiccups happens, and they come and they go…can’t wait to come back!!!!

My FAVORITE place to go eat in Carteret County! Maybe anywhere! Not only does it have a great view but the food is amazinggg! The menu has a lot of options and while it isn’t the cheapest place it also isn’t crazy expensive. It isn’t very big so it doesn’t get overwhelmingly loud/crowded. There might be a wait sometimes during summer weekend lunch but it’s worth it. EB is the best server ever and I always make sure to get her if she is there! The fans and shade make it possible to eat outside even when it’s mid summer and blazing hot. I get the GC Burger and am blown away everytime. (Grilled Grouper, fried crabcake, fried egg OM, prosciutto, arugula, Gouda, tomato, and a .. mango jam? Idk.. DELICIOUS! Crunchy fries and yummy ranch of course! Their drink menu and music is top notch as well. Key lime pie rocks… Nothing but good things to say about Yellowfin.

We came from abroad (Belgium) and we loved Yellowfin! The portions sizes were amazing and the fish was super fresh and delicious. Our server Brandon was so kind and friendly. We would definitely come back!

Great first experience! Found this place by accident. The service was fantastic and the food was excellent. It was a perfect day around 75 degrees with a great breeze to eat by the water. We would definitely recommend it and will be back next time we’re in town.

Good food and great service. We were going to leave because they only have tall tables and bar seating inside and low tables outside. They offered us an outdoor table but the temp was in the low 70s and it was very damp. As we were leaving the manager Ms. Gale literally chased us down, moved tables around and brought a low table and chairs for us. She made sure we were taken care of. She is the absolute best. Now that is customer service. Not to mention the burger was excellent and the house made chips? Wow! Amazing!

Sugarloaf Island Deli & Yellowfin Pub in Morehead City is one of my favorite local spots! The food is always fresh and delicious — especially their sandwiches and seafood dishes. The staff are friendly, attentive, and make you feel right at home. The waterfront views add such a relaxing vibe, whether you’re grabbing lunch or enjoying dinner and drinks with friends. It’s the perfect mix of great food, great service, and a laid-back coastal atmosphere. Highly recommend!

I’ve always wanted to like this place. The first two times I tried, we walked out after 10 minutes and had yet to see our server. But I’m no quitter so we tried again.
Today we went for lunch. Beautiful sunny day, sitting on Morehead Cities stunning waterfront with my incredible wife. The ambiance was spot on.
Server showed up promptly. Food and drinks came out fast. I had the “catch of the day” quinoa. The catch was yellowfin tuna. My wife had a quinoa bowl too but a vegetarian version. Both were incredibly tasty. The mandarin oranges gave it a sweetness that excited my palate. Really good. They were hitting on five stars for the food and atmosphere. But the service was once again lack luster.
When we finished our cocktails, our glasses sat empty on the table for what seemed like forever. We had to ask another waitress for water and for another cocktail. Didn’t understand because it wasn’t that busy. This place has potential if they can get the service issue sorted out. Crazy. I just don’t understand it.
