Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

When we walked in, we were the only two customers in the building, and there was maybe one car in the drive-thru. However, all of the maybe four employees were in the kitchen area, and none of them came to take our order or even greet us. We started our order in the kiosk but had to stop when it asked for our tent number because there were no tents out for us to grab. When one of the employees finally acknowledged us, I had to ask for a tent and then redo our order because the kiosk timed out. We got our order in, and the kiosk instructed us to “see the cashier for cups.” There was no cashier as all of the employees were once again in the kitchen area. When our food was brought to us, we asked if we could get our cups, and the cashier/server had to ask us how many drinks we had and if we needed any ketchup. We had ordered two ketchups. The amount of drinks and ketchups were on the receipt that was taped to the tray the server was carrying. I went ahead and told the server how many we had ordered. After this, I had to tell the server that we had ordered one fountain drink and one lemonade. We got our drinks, and then I had to go ask again for the ketchup and let the cashier/server know that we had also ordered a chocolate shake. The server got those for us. The last thing that was less than desirable was that my chicken sandwich looked like it had just been haphazardly thrown together. Upon opening my wrapper, I found that half of the contents were spilling out of the sandwich, and there was ketchup everywhere. I should have taken a picture before fixing it to eat.
The service was terrible, although the food was good.
Did I say there was no other customers go to waffle house much nicer
