Decided to stop by and try this bagel shop for the first time and was surprised with how large they were! Bagels are lightly crisp on the outside, soft, pillowy, and chewy on the inside. I could taste how fresh they were. Ordered the bakers dozen with two tubs of cream cheese. The French toast, pumpernickel, and garlic bread are so far my favorites. Ordered the locks bagel and it was on point. Will be a repeat customer and can’t wait to try them all. Place was clean and workers were nice.

A great place for breakfast, brunch, or lunch if you are in Houston. Has a great section of items for everyday and for Shabbat. Their Pastrami Salmon is awesome as well their Bagel Pizza. Overall such a wonderful place with friendly staff and good food.

The bakers dozen is the best value here. These are the items that stuck out to me:
Challah bagel – great texture on this bagel.
Blueberry bagel – Not cloying and goes well with sweet and savory dips.
French toast bagel – captured the cinnamon flavor really well throughout bagel.
Chocolate chip bagel – plenty of cholesterol chips throughout. Good and consistent flavor too.
Poppy bagel – good neutrally flavored bagel with some texture from the seeds.
Sprinkle cream cheese – honestly a great balance of sweet and cream cheese flavor. Used it on most of the bagels unless they were too savory.
Pizza bagel – mild sauce and good cheese used here. Very enjoyable.
The lox here is good if you enjoy that.

Best bagels. Seeing an Einstein’s in California ruined that for me, but this place is great, both locations, though the items offered may be different. Their plain bagel is fine, but their everything is something else entirely. Also if you are looking for something sweet, the french toast bagel. Staff are nice and good with large orders. Shaded and heated/cooled patio w/ TVs is absolutely amazing all year round.

This shop has everything for Shabbat dinners, which makes it really practical and easy to get ingredients. The bagels are the highlight product of the place since they have a variety of flavors and cream cheese for them. The service is amazing and personalized.
The place is a bit dirty but is nice to sit and chill while waiting for your order. The prices are reasonable and the quality is amazing.

Love the food ! For kids and adults it’s good and filling. The pastries to me it’s on the fancy side definitely not Shipleys breakfast. I get the migas bagel and it’s so yummy. Only problem is the staff isnt inviting. They are respectful but there’s no charisma all. They are very dry and look sleepy when they’re talking to you.

Got here- it was clean not too busy on a Sunday… wanted a simple egg bacon and cheese begal, lady says they don’t serve meat… Yet I see tuna on the menu (gross)… So beware they don’t sell regular breakfast meats..waited to post to review the coffee and jalapeno begal-good mocha coffee and good quality begals. But if it looking for a hearty begal sandwich go somewhere else .

Their breakfast bagel is the best. However, do not order through their website — the checkout process is not easy. Also, why does it take 30–45 minutes to make one sandwich? It’s insane. I’ve ordered twice through their website and still had to wait, no matter how slow the store was. Order online only if you have time to wait 30 minutes, lol. Other than that, it’s a good bagel shop.

Trying to pick up on the way to work is impossible – always the slowest counter help in HTown/Bellaire. Left without ordering – again. Love the Hillcroft location – this location is the worst. Went to The Hot Bagel Shop instead…won’t waste my time with this location ever again.

Thank you for having poppy seed bagels!!! They can be hard to find here.
It was absolutely delicious!! Fresh, soft on the inside & somewhat toasted on the out. The whipped cream cheese added made it perfection. They have an amazing selection though if poppy seed bagels aren’t for you. Everyone was polite and friendly, & they also have a little cute outside area to sit and eat.
