We have been coming to Chopsticks for years and have always been a loyal customer because the food was consistently flavorful. I order the same dishes often specifically because I love the taste, seasonings, and overall flavor profile they’ve always had.
However, the last two visits have been really disappointing. I’m not sure if there has been a change in management, ownership, or the kitchen staff, but something has definitely changed.
Today I came in craving pho. I had pho regularly from here for about three months straight after a surgery, so I know the flavor very well. What I received today tasted like water, with almost no flavor or seasoning. When I mentioned it, I was told that it’s made that way in batches, but when you know what it has always tasted like versus what was served today, the difference was immediately noticeable.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t just the pho. The pancit and the curry rice we ordered were also very bland and lacked the seasoning and depth of flavor that kept us coming back for years.
This has now happened twice, once dining in and once with takeout, so it doesn’t feel like just an off moment. We left really disappointed because Chopsticks used to be an old reliable for us, and it’s sad to feel like the food has changed so much flavor-wise.
I hope this is addressed, because this place used to be a go-to and I would love to see it return to the quality it was known for.

We came to eat here for my dad’s birthday as just a quick dinner since we USED to love the food from there. I don’t know what’s going on now. All of the plates came out at completely different times… 3 plates total and my mom was the last one to get her plate 20+ mins after the first plate. We were the only table in the restaurant at that time. We had to ask twice for them to check up on her plate of general tso chicken. My dad’s plate was already getting cold by the time her plate came out. We asked the server what was going and all she said was that it’s not on her it’s the kitchen. After that she never came to check up on us. My plate (chicken chow mein) had absolutely no flavor to it at all and we had to get up to ask for the bill and boxes. We asked to speak to the manager and told her how we hated the whole experience from the service to the food. She said she came by to see if everything was okay but that’s a LIE. She NEVER came to our table while we ate just looked at us from across the room. Which we told her and she said that looking at us from across the room was her “checking”. We pointed out that I didn’t eat my food only the small portion of rice if she can at least take that off and she said no cause she can’t do that without cook’s approval and she didn’t want to get them mad… I’m sorry what? I didn’t eat my food cause it had no flavor and you’re worried about the cooks? We used to order from here all the time but never again

My family and I came to try something new and I’ve got to say, this is an amazing place.
Firstly, the atmosphere was very calm and it was fresh inside. It felt cozy and I would recommend to come here if you like to enjoy yourself and the experience of the place.
Secondly, the service was just like the atmosphere. Calm and collected. I know different people have different preferences but our waiter, Bobby, was very calm and it really reflected our experience. He wasnt overbearing and made sure to quickly and effectively serve us.
And last but definitely not least, the food. We wanted to try some new things so we got a few different dishes.
House Special Lo Mein: My dad and I got this and we ended up having everyone at our table loving it. My mom and sister loved it so much that they kept on stealing some from our plates. And the portions for this dish was SO MUCH. All 4 of us were only able to finish 1 Lo Mein plate with how much they gave us. Portions definitely reflect the price. All of my family loved this the most and we plan to get it again next time around.
We also got Sweet and Sour chicken, Kung Pao Triple delight, and General Tao for main dishes. All of these were amazing, but Lo Mein was definitely the best.
And pricing was pretty high but only because we got so much food. I’d say it was pretty fair pricing!!
Overall, would go again and again. I will definitely recommend.

My daughter and I enjoyed the General Tsao chicken along with sweet and sour chicken entrees. We agreed that the value for your money was good since dinner entrees came with soup and egg-roll. Service was friendly and attentive. We also enjoyed the cool mix of Asian and western decor inside.

I haven’t ate here for 10 years since I got food poisoned and sick for 3 days after eating General Tso Chicken that tasted corn starchy and undercooked. Just checked in to see if it got better and nope. How they are still in business is beyond me.

I have to say, I’ve found my go to place for Chinese! I plan on visiting soon. I am mostly surprised with the food quality and taste. Sometimes at buffets food can be cold and dull, but despite this not being a buffet, the food portions are great and the food is full of flavor and cooked at the moment so you get a hot meal, and not to mention the price along with it. I haven’t tried the vietnamese food but another reason to visit again and again.
