During Covid I would regularly stop in for dinner then walk down the block to Gallant Fox for drinks.
The pomme frites in all portions are amazing, amongst the best fries in town if not #1. Beef and iberico empanadas, bocadillo and choripan sandwiches, steak frites, pork tenderloin, sausages alemana, all great.
The Margherita pizza is the best you will find in Louisville. Grab some coffee or European beer while here and have a good time. Keep it on the must visit list.
There was a group of 5 of us and mostly everyone enjoyed their dish but one friend ordered a soup. She was anxious for me to try it as I was not familiar to that soup.. it looked very good. Well it was cold and it wasn’t supposed to be cold. So she reluctantly asked if the server could heat it up which the server was happy to do. She got it back and it was still cold. So rather than ask again she just took it to go. I would come again. And I believe my friends will too.
On occasion they do have special paella evenings which are always very good.
My favorites are the Frites a caballo , steak and frites, any of their panini s , fish and chips or soups. And of course finishing it off with an espresso hits the spot. Tommy usually also keeps Chamay on tap (reasonable wine menu)
You really can’t go wrong. Reasonably priced.
Tommy and all the folks are very friendly and accommodating.
Worth the trip.
On a separate visit we had Tuna fish, a soup and salad option of seafood chowder and the Bocadillo, very good
