Food was mediocre. The menu item is quite literal. Ordered the steak sandwich and got just as described. Ordered medium and got rare even after the cook stated he never messes up. Had to finish cooking when I got home. Will give them another try.

Everything was grilled perfectly, Burger, Shrimp.

Plenty of catfish and burger was great
Shrimp plates was a lighter serving than expected still great taste but not enough to sustain the $16.00
One coleslaw was ok the other 2 were hot enough to hurt the flavor. Keep em

I don’t understand some of the less-than-positive reviews here for Blackbeard’s Tavern; all I can do I tell you that my wife and I have enjoyed excellent meals here ever since the new management came in, got settled, and now have several months of experience under their belts. We order pizza regularly, and it is always very good. We also go occasionally after church — thank you for your Sunday hours! — and especially enjoy the cheese steak sandwich and the flounder basket. The other menu choices look tempting as well, but you know how it is — you find something you especially like, and changing up is hard to do. Staff are always friendly, just the right amount of chatty, and attentive. It’s great to have a local pub/tavern with excellent food in such a small town. Highly recommend!

My wife and I stopped off for a little seafood at this restaurant “thinking” with a name like that, and on the river, it must have good seafood. Unfortunately, we were wrong.
NO REAL SEAFOOD, but It had a few fried options.
We ended up getting 12 inch “WHITE” pizza for 15$ that was DRY and barely toasted. The worst was the 10$ Greek salad. See photo! No description necessary.
This restraunt has potential but in my opinion management needs to get the cooks to improve on their skills.

As a resident of Bath, we typically visit Blackbeards 1-2 times a week. The staff are AMAZING! The pizza is WONDERFUL! And the specials can’t be beat! It’s a great place to catch up with other locals and throw a few back! Plus Alisa at the bar is basically my therapist… Lol.

Ordered a 16” with hamburger/pepperoni/green peppers/onions. Three small pieces of onion, 7 pieces of green pepper, little to no hamburger. Also ordered a small cheese pizza. $42 for this is unacceptable. Rather drive 20 mins to Washington than 5 to here again. This is our 3rd time trying them only to be disappointed again, and finally done trying!

We had a great meal at Blackbeards Tavern! Our 3 year old learned the straw blowing trick from our waitress and it’s been delighting her ever since quick service, delicious pizza, and friendly people. We had such a nice experience and wish we lived closer…. it would be our weekly dinner out for sure!

We love the new menu!!!! Haven’t been to Blackbeard’s in a couple of years and decided to try it again as new management has taken over and we were incredibly happy with our food! Pizza was delicious!! Just placed our second order in a week. Only thing that would make it absolutely perfect is if they extended their delivery radius to bayview!!
