I have lived down the street from this place for over 25 years and it used to be way better but it was Charlie’s diner but I accepted that it changed and I’ve tried them out a few times over the last 20 years and every time I go there I get screwed over. The food is always good and the staff is always nice but if you’re going to charge the person in front of me that speaks the language One price and then I get the exact same thing behind them and get a different price because I look like a gringa.. nope I am not I am actually Puerto Rican and I do not need a green card to be here I’ve tried them out a few times and I have been treated nicely but with the same discriminatory nature I go one block down the street to Gomez liquor and get twice the amount of food for the price but you can’t fool a white girl that ordered the exact same thing as a Dominican behind me and I got charged twice as much no joke so this establishment is a joke…

My husband and I ate here this week.
Neither one of us is familiar with Dominican food.
The food was AMAZING! Very fresh! The waitress and the patrons helped explain what the different dishes were.
We highly recommend this hidden gem. Next time we are in Lawrence, we will definitely eat here again!!

I would not recommend this place 1.5/5 @ best. The food was mediocre and the service was bad (feels like a Dominican restaurant for the aesthetic not the actual food.) She gave me this much bacon and when I asked her if she could put another bacon slice she said that all that comes with the order… seriously… 1 little bacon slice? Then when I had my tripleta she only put 1 fried cheese slice even though she specified it was 2 fried cheese slices. Could she miss anymore than she did? Yes, yes she could! I asked her if she could put extra onions on my mangu and she barely gave me any, wish I would’ve taken a pic. I just wish I could have actually liked this place because I live in the area, but unfortunately, it was a miss.

The restaurant has gone downhill since moving to the new location. Quality of food is ok. Food portions have been reduced significantly. I use to eat at the old location all the time and loved it. This new location however, was disappointing. Seems like they got rid of some of their employees too. New cashier gave me an attitude when I told her the party tray I purchased looked more like a sampling tray. They know for a fact their party trays use to be much bigger. It was a huge embarrassment to show up to a function with this puny tray. Never again.

They took over and totally refurbished this older diner. I went there twice and the was good service, and breakfast was good.
The price was reasonable. And the place was clean and comfortable. There are booths and counter seats.
I recommend this diner as a must try. I plan to return.
I returned today after that bad experience that I had with another diner down the road which overcharged me three times in a row and nobody was willing to do anything about it.
I would describe Dominican and American diner which serves both types of food. I see a lot of takeout orders when I was there this morning.
The price is still reasonable and the coffee is as much as you can get.. The people are very kind and very humble. I don’t think enough people know about this place and they should because I think they do a very nice job.
As before I would recommend it because this is a true diner

Breakfast here is delicious! Traditional Dominican comfort food is a must at 10/11am 🙂 They also deliver for those that live close to Lawrence or North Andover. The staff have always been super nice and the prices aren’t bad. The restaurant itself isn’t large at all, so be mindful of bigger groups. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I’m a frequent customer of their breakfast, but haven’t tried their lunch or dinner menu yet.
