Juniper began as a local ingredient-driven cocktail and beer bar and has grown into one of Burlington’s liveliest restaurants for our hotel guests and locals alike. From our farming, foraging and fishing friends who bring us fresh ingredients that we treat with simple respect and proper preparation to serve dishes bursting with freshness and flavor.
Juniper Bar features many fresh local beers and spirits from the most coveted producers in Vermont.
At Juniper you can relax by the wood burning hearth in Winter, or on the elevated outdoor Terrace, looking over Lake Champlain.
Striking, modern eatery offering refined American comfort fare & craft cocktails in lofty surrounds.

Highly recommend the brunch. We love the two egg breakfast and blueberry pancakes. Pets are allowed on the patio and in the lobby/ lounge seating. The staff is always so kind to us and our dog. Alanna the bartender is the best!

Overall the food was a 9.2/10, the service was 9.6/10 and the ambiance was 7/10.
Such a wonderful place to dine at. The food, the service, and atmosphere were all quite good. They offer an exceptional menu with the charcuterie board being my favourite thing I tried here. The jam, cheese, bread/crackers, olives, and prosciutto were all divine! My wife and I went here for our very first anniversary of being married and I am so glad that we picked this spot to dine at out of all the other places in Vermont. Our server Kalani, was hands down the nicest gentleman I have ever met at a restaurant. His professionalism and service were next level and he made us feel very special on our special evening.
The only “bad” I have to say about Juniper is the host was very busy and they should consider hiring/utilising someone else to be dedicated to taking room service orders as we had to wait 1-2 minutes when we first arrived for them to finish taking a large order. Also, there was a projection on the back wall of some mistletoe or Christmas holly and while I think it’s a nice touch it seems a little tacky considering the rest of the restaurant and how fancy it presents itself, personally I liked it but it could have been a little higher resolution and does take away from the “fancy” looks.

We love everything about this restaurant. It’s fancy, but also cozy and relaxing. We loved our dishes, we only got the venison steak and the pork stew with Squash dumplings. It was so good! Service is also really good, and the price for the dishes are reasonable. Overall, it’s an easy 5 out of 5 for us. We would love to be back again when we visit Burlington (we are from Massachusetts).

Juniper was a fun experience! Brought my parents who were visiting from out of state and we had a lovely time. My mom really enjoyed their three course meal special for the night, husband’s pork was divine, and the veal loin was solid.

We recently visited Juniper Bar and Restaurant and had a generally pleasant experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the host was friendly, which set a positive tone for the evening. The fries and Brussels sprouts were delicious, and the drinks were well-made and enjoyable. However, we weren’t as pleased with the falafel sandwich, which felt dry, and the slow-cooked beef, which was just okay. The fish dish, on the other hand, was good and nicely prepared. Overall, Juniper offers a great vibe, friendly service, and standout appetizers and drinks, though some of the main dishes could use improvement.

I’ve thought about the turkey on the fondue plate at least once a day since I’ve had it.
Looooved the fondue for two ($25 per person and there’s a two person minimum), but the portion sizes could have been heartier. I just want more turkey. excellent quality though!!
I ordered the chicken breast, very good! I could have done without the strange braised cabbage.
My husband orders the steak frites and was happy with it.
Service was great. Relaxing atmosphere.
Bill ended up being just under $150, so a bit pricy.
Would come again for the fondue!

We are making our way around the hotels and restaurants of Burlington as part of UVM parent runs.. Juniper is a standout for excellent food, service and ambiance. Wonderful, tasty dishes served in superb form. We loved the brussell sprouts appetizer, and the venison, trout and kielbasa dishes. The trout was especially amazing. Our server Kalani was funny, efficient and kind. Oh, and the house Negroni was delicious. The hotel was also fantastic, so we’ll be back.

Atmosphere and staff are great. Steak was overcooked and not a good cut for the price. The potato wedges had the consistency of plantains. Overall food was below average but if you’re looking for drinks and a nice place to wind down it’s great.
