We came in with a party of 9 and they were able to fit us in. We tried 9 dishes off their dinner menu and every single one was fantastic. We couldn’t decide which we liked best. I wish I had taken photos of the small plates we ordered but I forgot.
Their brunch menu is also amazing by their dinner menu is my new favorite! Highly recommend
Their food is unique. They do not take short cuts and each dish is carefully engineered. Yes, engineered, the owner puts in a lot of thoughts and trials before adding a dish onto the menu.
We do go there for dinner, too. They have different menus for brunch and dinner and every dish is great. Service is very attentive and everyone is informative.
What an amazing experience we had at Kothai! From the balanced flavors in the heirloom salad fresh from the local farmers market to the mussels steamed in shellfish broth every dish was fantastic. Worth a visit for the those from the area and a trip for those that are further out !
Just visited again!! Really happy w all the dishes. And the drinks were great! Just wish they uses an actual martini glass for their martini…
Melon salad with prosciutto: Was solid good, but nothing special. The type of melon was fairly mild, but it all went together pretty well. 4 star
Grilled octopus: The sauce and beans were really good, yummy flavor. The octopus itself was a bit mushy in areas compared to other octopus dishes I’ve had. Not bad, just a little over maybe. 4 star
Whipped ricotta with tomato and focaccia: the tomato was delicious but the ricotta tasted more like mayo and the bread was sopping in oil. I squeezed it and you could see oil running out and dripping. 1 star for bread, 3 star for ricotta, 5 star for tomatoes, overall 3 star.
Pork chop: very well cooked but basically on top of a pile of mayonnaise-like sauce that was way overkill. There was a small relish on the side but the relish had almost no flavor and there was only a small amount. 2 star.
Lamb roti: very very tender and well cooked, sauce and onion base was delicious! Roti was yummy and it had our favorite component of the night which was a nice zesty green sauce (lime-ish).
With half stars I’d bump to 3.5 for our meal, but rounded down because it still just overall felt a bit meh flavor wise.
