We recently ordered from Chillies and had a great overall experience. We tried a variety of dishes, including the Tandoori Chicken with Bone, Goat Curry, Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Madrasi, and Chicken Biryani, and all of these were very good. The flavors were rich, well-spiced, and authentic, and the meats were cooked nicely. The Chicken Biryani stood out in particular for its aroma and taste.
The Chicken Curry was just okay compared to the other dishes—it wasn’t bad, but it didn’t stand out as much as the rest of the meal. Overall, Chillies offers delicious food with plenty of strong menu options, and we would definitely return to try more dishes.

We ordered the beef vindaloo, lamb vindaloo for us and the chicken korma for the kids. The vindaloos had the perfect spice kick and nice chunks of meat, not just fat like some other restaurants, and the korma was sweet for the kids with no spice. We also ordered the garlic naan which had great flavour and generous size. The rice sizes were decent and affordable. The service was great, the staff didn’t miss a beat and asked us how the spice level was. Go here if you’re keen on Indian. We will be back photo of empty plates because it was so good!

Food was very good, haven’t been here for a while but still a good standard. Good menu selection and very tasty.
Table service was a bit slow even though it wasn’t busy. Staff were very pleasant and friendly. Not too busy for a Saturday evening but this could be the takeover of uber eats! Definitely worth a night out of the couch.

Best Indian restaurant in Hobart by far!!
Chillies is the best Indian restaurant in Hobart by far!! I have lived in Hobart for 10+ years but always go here for Authentic Indian cuisine! The food is very fresh and well made. They even make home made desserts like Gulab Jamun. Which was freshly made and cooked. Butter chicken here is amazing and highly recommended it. Friendly service and good environment and not too pricy. Definitely recommend if anyone is looking for delicious Indian food.

Watery, sweet, no spices in food. Gristle all through chicken. Sweet sugary naan bread. Partner had to throw out the butter chicken. Haven’t tasted a nice one in tasmania so far. Might need to go upto townsville to learn how they make theres

It took more than an hour for our main meal to arrive. My son was literally falling asleep at the table. The white rice was very bland – no aroma, and the garlic cheese naan was a bit doughy. The mango lassi was too thick. However, the tandoori chicken, butter chicken, and Goan prawn curry tasted great. The food presentation was average. The mango kulfi, papadams, and mint chutney were delicious.
We were unable to taste the strawberry lassi as the kitchen was too busy. At least the papadams should have been given as gratis for the delay in the preparation of food.

It was amazing experience . Loved biryani as the taste was so good as well as satisfying quantity. The best gulabjamun as it was made fresh by themselves. Service is 10/10 . we went there on their closing time but still they were happy to serve. Highly recommend.Cant wait to go there again.
