We ate here twice on our trip to the area. I cannot recommend this place enough. The food was incredible, the service was fabulous. The first night there was a dj setting up for karaoke and if we hadn’t been so tired we would have stayed. The next time I’m in the area, I will definitely eat here again.

We ended up at Mar y Tierra after our original meetup spot closed due to flooding, and honestly, it turned out to be a great backup plan! Since we were craving Mexican cuisine, this was the closest available option and it didn’t disappoint. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of private parking, tucked right into the Sam’s Club shopping center. We were seated on the right side in the bar area. Service took a few minutes to get going, and there was a bit of a language barrier during ordering, but everything ultimately went smoothly.
I ordered the Combination of carne, pollo y camarón (steak, chicken, shrimp). For $20, I expected a standard entrée but what arrived was a massive plate of food. Truly huge! I even snapped a photo because the serving size, and the plate itself, was so impressive. And the quality matched the quantity. The steak was tender, the chicken juicy, and the shrimp perfectly grilled. Every bite was excellent!
We also enjoyed a couple of cocktails, which were both delicious and surprisingly strong. Not always a plus but it wasn’t entirely strong that we couldn’t drink them. Overall, Mar y Tierra was a pleasant surprise and delivered great food, drinks, and lots of value. I would definitely visit again!

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The traditional Hispanic dishes were absolutely exquisite, full of authentic flavor and perfectly prepared. The prices were very accessible, offering great value for the quality of the food. The restaurant also maintains excellent hygiene, which made the visit even more enjoyable.
Our server, Victoria, was outstanding. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Her service truly elevated the experience.

If I could give this establishment less than one star I would. Its a total rip off. Went with a couple of coworkers there at kannapolis for lunch and they took 50 minutes to bring the food out, and we were the only ones in the restaurant eating, and the orders were wrong. They tried to charge my coworker 78 dollars for a hamburger. He had them fix the bill. It was supposed to be 24 dollars .they charged me 23 dollars for 3 tiny tacos, didnt bring my rice and queso sauce . Tried to stick me with a 5 dollar tip on a bill that was supposed to be 6 dollars for the tacos. Tried to stick my friend with a 50 dollar tip for what, messing up our orders big time. Nobody’s food was right , they over charged us plus tried to sneak huge tips without our knowledge. According to the state attorney general this is an illegal practice. Plus the 3 tacos they brought me were disgusting. I recommend to anyone wanting Mexican food go to another establishment where they are not trying to rip you off.

The service was amazing an very pleasant. However the food was ehh my supposed to be New York strip was about 30% fat n gristle. My asparagus was way over cooked but everything tasted great on a good note. Oh n I ordered my steak medium an it came out medium well. Maybe steak shouldn’t be on the menu or call it a ribeye it’ll make more sense.

Went here twice and had a good experience, then did a online order over $99 plus a $15 tip, my husband went to get the order brought it home, we were missing 6 tacos, so he went back to get the missing food, they were rude and accused him of trying to steal from them and start a scene then they called a manger on the phone and the manager then said they checked the cameras?!? He walked out with two bags that should have been three, they kept him waiting for over 45 min and still didn’t give a refund or the dang tacos wth?!
There are too many Latin restaurants in this area that can actually fix their own errors. Not wasting my money or time here again.

Our server, Wilfredo, was very good and the food was excellent. If you like loud music, this is your place. However, if you want to be able to communicate with anyone at your table, don’t go here. The music was good but so loud I couldn’t hear the person next to me. We’re talking headache loud. I finally went to the hosts desk and ask if they could turn the music down and got a “I’ll see what I can do” with attitude. I then ask our waiter and he turned it down some but not enough. After a couple songs we finally got some silence but within 5 minutes the music was back on as loud as ever. When I paid the bill, and gave Wilfredo a 38% tip, I asked another host if the music was there for them or for the customers. She just shrugged.
