This is a fabulous restaurant! Cozy atmosphere with a small bar area and very nicely decorated dining room. Great menu, highly recommend.

We had such a delightful meal here tonight. We ordered a couple of appetizers and pasta dishes, and everything was absolutely delicious, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared.

Amy, our server, was fantastic, attentive, friendly, and made us feel so welcome from start to finish. The owner was also incredibly warm and hospitable, which made the experience even more special.

The atmosphere was inviting and comfortable, the kind of place where you can truly relax and enjoy your meal. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food and wonderful service. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Definitely hidden gem! Not only is it a small market but it also has a dine in restaurant with a summer time bonus outdoor patio. The food is amazing (had lunch and stopped at a different date for dinner) and definitely NOT what you are expecting based on the exterior of the building! Beer and wine available along with delicious desserts. Our servers were very attentive and informative on the menu with recommendations that definitely did not disappoint. (Menu’s are in my photos) Owners definitely need to put a sign at the street that stands out and is legible! So many missed opportunities for people to stop in with the current sign.

Went there with a pretty large group, and all of us were impressed. We’ve all eaten A LOT of Italian food, so it’s hard for us to get too excited over another restaurant. That said: we all loved it; everyone thought the apps and entrees were top notch and we had a variety of items. Service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is just right. Definitely a gem and worth going to Storrs instead of any old place in central CT.

Stix n Stones was recommended by a friend and we’re so glad we went! It was pretty busy but thankfully the kind hostess sat us right away.
Our calamari was made perfectly. My wife was more than satisfied with her hefty portion of scallop risotto and I don’t think I’ve ever had a better vodka pasta. Kudos to the chef!
Service was amazing, our server, Nathalie was so kind and attentive the whole night despite it being busy, she made sure our first time experience was wonderful from start to finish! We will be back!

I’ve visited four times in the last six months on the weekends and wanted to share some feedback. The food is always enjoyable, but the service can be a bit more friendly. At times it’s a little intimidating to ask questions because they feel to be unwelcome. I hope this feedback helps improve the overall guest experience, as we really enjoy coming here and the only place I go when I visit UCONN.

Finally! I’ve been wanting to get here, mainly because my Italian friends say it’s the best Italian food they’ve ever had at a restaurant,
( and who says that?!?) and yes, it’s the best food! Party of 3, great vino rosso, seafood risotto, lemon chicken, vodka rigatoni. Crab cake special appetizer, it melted in your mouth. Tiramisu and “ the best coffee of your life” made by Michael, the owner. Who, by the way, is so passionate about the menu and food you can feel it! It truly was something special. You just need to go.

My mom and I got 3 delicious appetizers which ended up being perfect. The aracini appetizer (a.k.a. rice ball but more like rice tower) was beyond delicious served in vodka sauce. And the staff and owner Sal were just terrific. And such a cool, clean, beautiful dining room.

I was so hopeful… I had heard great things and was excited to get some amazing Italian food in a quirky, cool little local joint.
I’m horrified I spent $100 for two people to choke down a few bites of reheated, overcooked proteins and greasy pasta. Service barely noticed us, just doing their job, I guess. It’s really too bad, but I guess the florist/landscaping/boutique/Italian restaurant combo may be just too odd to be good.

Stix n Stones has incredible food! I ate lunch here last week, and it was so good, I made a point to come back for dinner. This is exquisite food! And it’s in such an unassuming little spot on the edge of Storrs…I’m glad I finally stopped in. For dinner, I had the Sicilian salad, which included oranges and capers berries with tomatoes, and it was fantastic. I also had the seafood parpadelle with saffron sauce. It was a delight. I expected the sauce to be creamy, but I’m glad it wasn’t. More like a saffron cioppino with parpadelle. Exquisite! Add to that the bread with olive oil dipping plate, delicious wine, and a limoncello mascarpone cake. This little place really exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it!
