Small flat white with an extra shot. Quite strong, a touch of sourness and smooth.
Excellent blueberry muffin obviously freshly made.
Updated. I’ve tried every other coffee establishment on the island and The Golden Orb makes the best espresso, IMHO.
And the toasted ham, cheese and tomato sandwich was perfect.

I can appreciate the high ratings and sadly the lower ones here, with service being the difference. Lovely spot with a good menu. Staff were friendly at first and the salad with salmon was very good. The fish burger was very tasty on first bite, however the second resulted in 3 5cm bones being stuck into my gums and palate. I had to eat the rest in the tiniest nibbles avoiding a further 2 small bones which ruined the whole experience of eating a burger. We mentioned this to the previously friendly waitress whose demeanour changed as she seemed disgusted that we’d complain about such a trivial issue, and gave a begrudging apology as she walked away. Never going back.

A big thank you to the staff at Golden orb for catering to our vegan needs. They ended up making us a delicious vegetable stir fry on sourdough bread with avocado. Also the soy chai latte and soy cap and babyccino were so good. The barista knows what they’re doing, even offered help on finding other vegan options on the island.
