Heard alot about this place and during my work season I drive by there alot. As someone with an Italian background its very hard to find good quality Italian food. Well this place here!!!! 10/10 the service was great. The guys running it are super friendly and the food quality OMG 10/10 the garlic knots where covered in garlic and herbs, the outside had a perfect crunch while the inside was soft and warm ( I could have just sat and ate those all day) next we had a small bacon pizza and that was a 10/10. Most impotent thing is the sauce and they nailed it! The pizza was thin but not too thin, the perfect thin-ness. It had flavor and yes! It had the crunch that alot of pizzas out here just dont have. My wife and I are definitely coming back and we will ve bringing our kids! I highly recommend this place if you are out and about, on lunch or wana do a family pizza night!

I drove down from Massachusetts to make a delivery nearby in Clinton and saw all the rave reviews for Saybrook Pizza & Restaurant—so I figured I had to try it. I was absolutely blown away. The crust was perfect, the sauce had that rich, balanced flavor, and the cheese pull was next level.
I even tried to get creative and build my own unique pizza combo. The owner kindly stepped in and let me know my toppings might not work well together (and he was right!). I’m so grateful he did, because the pie I ended up choosing instead was delicioso.
I brought some back home and it was still amazing later—quality through and through. If you’re anywhere near Old Saybrook, do yourself a favor and stop in. Worth the drive, 100%.

It was a good experience. I had a buffalo chicken calzone and an order of wings. The wings were pretty good, the calzone was pretty okay too. The chicken in the calzone wasn’t the best but ultimately I wasn’t disappointed. Their marinara sauce was probably some of the best I’d had.
The inside of the store was super small, but still felt welcoming enough. The young lady who took my order got everything right and the gentleman who cooked and brought out my food was an absolute delight. I saw him interact with one of the regular customers and it was a really wholesome experience.

I’ve tried the food here many times. Pizzas, grinders salads, and desserts. It is all amazing. Family business and they could not be nicer. I believe the desserts are home made. The owner is one of the nicest, generous people, and it’s a pleasure come to his place. Highly recommended.

Best experience, my family and I sat down to eat, I was greeted by father and daughter with nice conversation. Free garlic knots so delicious got chef salad and carbonara pasta and italian Pizza without mushrooms so yummy kept eating even though I was full and had homemade tiramisu for dessert every thing is homemade sausage and homemade dressing best place I’ve eaten in a long time will be back again

Order online, pickup, or dine in (indoor and outdoor dining), easy parking, genuine, kind owner, quick service. They allow BYOB and no cork fee. Oki the owner is a great guy. He talked to us for a while yet did not sacrifice quality or service. Pizza is available by the slice. He sells grinders, soups, calzones, whole pizza, pizza by the slice, pasta, paninis, stuffed breads, burgers, wraps, salads, appetizers, kids menu, and more. He offers catering too. Highly recommend you support a great local company.

Oki suggested I try the veggie wrap, he said “he makes an excellent veggie wrap.” And he wasn’t joking. Hands down one of the best I have ever had. While I was inside, he chatted with me while he was making it and I find out that their ingredients are fresh daily, and that he’s been making food for 33 years. Quite the expert and you could tell he found his passion and worked on perfecting it. Even the dip for the fries was an original sauce he made, and yes, it was incredible too. Between the service, food, and friendliness of this meek little spot, the experience was such a pleasant surprise. Highly recommend!
