It was our first time here for Valentine’s and our 10 year anniversary and it was very good! We each had two drinks, muscles for appetizer, prime rib and the scallop risotto for dinner. We definitely will be back

Just enjoying a to go Friday fish fry special! fabulous baked cod fish & simply amazing rice pilaf and bread! And the new England clam chowder soup special was so tasty, home made delicious ! I must say with several off menu Lenten fish specials you can’t go wrong at this place! I can’t wait to return and enjoy some other on menu items! Great bar staff service! Great job chef!

We had twelve people last night for dinner. It took quite a while to receive our meal but wow! When we all began eating, we couldn’t believe how absolutely delicious it was. All of us will definitely pass onto others how great this food is. Thank you Sweet Basil for such a fun time.

Folks I have never had this poor service with this terrible quality of food. We had reservations at 6 and did not receive our food until 7:35. The delayed food is one thing, but we barely had any interaction with our server on anything. No drink order or water refills. We had to go to the bar to get drinks and we did not have our water refilled until the same time we got our food.
The people in our group that had pasta had decent meals, but the steak sandwich was flattened ground beef (see the picture). Awful awful food and value for the price. If I knew I was essentially ordering a burger, a chain restaurant would have provided higher quality.
Understanding that there must have been a short staff (never confirmed), we would have completely understood the situation and adjust our expectations and/or went elsewhere if someone would have let us know on any challenges in the kitchen, but nothing was communicated by the staff.
I have heard that this was once a great spot to eat in Plymouth, but holy smokes it has drastically declined in quality across the board (service, food, drinks).
If you considering coming here to eat, definitely call ahead and confirm the menu and that they have a food staff otherwise you are going to be sitting in cold restaurant for over 2hrs with substandard food.

What fantastic place to dine. Great social distancing inside and outside. Our appetizer, and meals were superior along with kind, friendly and outstanding service. This is definitely one of the best fine dining experiences we was had the the state. This is on our come back soon list. Thanks for being a top notch restaurant.

It was the worst overpriced food ever for m. I really wanted to send it back to the kitchen and have it reimbursed. I ordered the special they had on tenderloin (steak Diane) priced at $38.00 and it was absolutely swimming in sauce as were the potatoes. I requested medium rare and I got well done. Over seasoned so much so that couldn’t even get the flavor of the steak or the potatoes. What are hiding? It was god awful! Never again. The waitress was very pleasant to my partner but absolutely avoided any kind of interaction with me. Even though I wanted to speak to her about my meal. more interested in my male partner every time she came over to the table for his opinion and out right avoided asking me how I felt about the food. Like I have no value or voice or opinion. That’s pure stupidity to think that women don’t have pocket books themselves. Go to a decent supper club in the area instead!

Had a great experience at sweet basil. Nice ambiance and decor. We had a reservation at 5:30 on a Saturday night and was seated immediately. Waitress was very friendly and quick. We had the calamari as an appetizer, it was delicious. We had the red pepper Alfredo for our entree. With a side of asparagus. Pasta was delish, asparagus was a little tough and hard. We had the sangria, which was very good. They gave us a creme brûlée on the house since it was our anniversary. We thought that was a nice touch. We will definitely go to this restaurant again.

Steaks were cooked to perfection, the asparagus was so tender and flavorful. The service was attentive and great. I had the ribeye and my husband had beef tenderloin with a side of sea scallops.
