Typical roadhouse atmosphere. Plenty of TVs playing a variety of shows. The mother-in-law appreciated the channel with funny animals.
Slow but friendly bartender/server, but she was there by herself other than the kitchen staff. Prices are pretty good. There are plenty of beer choices, but not many craft brews on tap. The ones they do have are good ones though.
My companions were both happy with their BLTs and their bacon was crisp as requested. It’s amazing how often that doesn’t happen. My cheeseburger was pretty good. The tater tots and onion petals were typical frozen bar food.
Three and a half stars, rounded up to keep the mother-in-law happy since this is one of her favorite places.
UPDATE: Apparently they’ve changed their name to Miggy24. They’ve changed the menu, raised the prices, and become disappointing in every way. The tables were sticky, and we waited quite some time for someone to bring us menus. The elderly family member with us only wanted to come because she loved their BLTs, but they were no longer offered. After shouting at each other over the loud music, we decided to leave without ordering.

Haven’t been here since college! After 17 years it was nice to be invited by a client to eat at Buddy’s. The food was as great as I remember and the nostalgia seemed to hit me just right.

Usually, I don’t like saying anything negative, but in this case I Can’t say a lot of positive about this place. The food is very greasy, the oil is literally dripping from it. Apparently, they are going through some management/name changes, but nonetheless, I really had a really good time here! I wanted a place to watch the Bears game. Now, don’t get me wrong, there’s no changing that this place is a roadside tavern. But I just felt this place was better than most.
The service was friendly, there was plenty of (comfy) seating, plenty of TVs, they had Golf, Pool, Baggos, darts (…I think). Parking lot right outside… What I was not expecting was how good the food was! I ordered the Nashville spicy Chicken Sandwich with Coleslaw and WHOA, it was really good!! (Another thing, during Bears’ games, they offer free snacks at halftime! They had nachos with cheese, there were these tasty garlic bread bites, along with a perfect marinara to dip them into. They offered two flavors of wings… BBQ and Buffalo, both REALLY good (imo)). I just didn’t expect a bar to have such tasty food. It was a great experience. Someone even bought me a shot!
The only thing that was lacking was the crowd. This is the only reason why I didn’t give everything 5 stars.
There seems to be endless space. This place could be packed and still have room for more. But there’s no reason more people can’t go there, eat, drink and watch a game. They have everything you need. It would be a good time. I think they just need to get the word out.
So, go! (…and bring a few friends!)

Bartender was too busy on her phone. There weren’t many people in the place that we should have received the service that we did. Also using the same glass and touching the Tapper with it when you want a another is gross. A bad vibe with very limited beer selection. My group felt we were bothering the bartender. However the food was excellent.

The absolute beat Mai tai I’ve ever had !!! Served by Ashlee at buddys bites n Brews in Mount Prospect. If you’re lucky Ashlee might sing a song for you at the bar! She has an excellent voice!
