The view was simply beautiful. The staff was also very friendly. Especially since we picked the table furthest away from the main area. Anyone who’s been a server will understand that frustration, me included. I apologized for picking a place so far when there were plenty of other options, but I really wanted to enjoy the view. The staff were very understanding. The food was absolutely delicious as well. I had the catfish and chips. The catfish was big and fried to perfection while the fries were perfect. Not too crispy and definitely not soggy. We will definitely be stopping by again when we drive through.

I wouldn’t order the pulled pork sandwich again. The pork was tough; more chewy than you’d expect for pulled pork. But the French Dip sandwich and the French onion soup got great reviews from my friends who ate those dishes. It’s a short walk from the blue ridge train ride, about 7 minutes. The restaurant handed a coupon to everyone when they exited the train for one free non-alcoholic beverage.

Nice view of the river from the outdoor seating. And they have plastic coverings in case it’s raining or to keep the heat in on the deck.

Was super hungry after driving and hiking and we had no destination my husband seen the water front view and pulled right in, plus the lot was decently packed. Sat on balcony overlooking the river a muskrat played below. We got there at Happy Hour so there were some deals and we indulged. The loaded tots soo good even leftover hours later in my hotel room. The cheeseburger sliders and meatballs with marinara was delicious too. Our server Riley was a sweet gal and helpful and attentive. If I get to get back to the area I’d 10/10 stop here.

We had some fried pickles and split a steak & cheese
sandwich & fries with a tiny thing of cole slaw. The fried pickles were perfect not overcooked not over breaded they came with an awesome sauce. Unfortunately the sandwich was a little overcooked. Overall it was a good evening nice view enjoyed feeding Gary the local duck!

Love this place, the people and the food. It’s a bit expensive, even during happy hour. But Gary the White Fronted Goose who hangs out there made it worth it! What a great spot to chill by the river with live music, good food and drinks. The mozzarella sticks and meatballs are drool worthy! They are also dog-friendly!

Great meal & waitress !!! Atmosphere was loud due to the large crowd from the train. We should have opted to sit outside. Special appetizer prices from 2 to 5. A beautiful deck outside. Live music on the weekends. Check it out

Stopped by on a random Monday. Everyone was super nice as soon as we walked in. The view was fantastic out on the deck. The server was friendly and took good care of us. Later on she mentioned she was also doubling as the manager on duty, so good job on her account for juggling double responsibilities. I went with the special which was prime rib, and it was excellent. Would gladly stop here again.

Fabulous waterfront restaurant! Specials every day, so I had the prime rib and it was delicious & the homemade bloody Mary’s soooo good! The French dip was also excellent. All the food was wonderful, but the best part was our server Carolyn B. She was so much fun & is definitely in the right profession 100% a people person! We will definitely be back!!

Our waitress was Autumn and she was top notch! Sweet, efficient, fun, and best of all provided great service!! Music was good too. I had the burger and it was wonderful.

Edited 10/28 – I have visited several more times and each time have been disappointed by the burger with the last one arriving cold. All our other food was good.
