We went there for dinner and sampled some of the freshest seafood possible. The place is bustling, open layout and super polite and engaging staff. Shout out to Elaine for helping us with enthusiasm.
Grilled octopus and Thai shrimp appetizers were excellent.
Elaine suggested California cabernet savignon and it was outstanding. Light and airy, subtle fruity taste
Scallops with corn risotto was cooked to perfection. So was chicken milanese and short ribs.
We ate it all, it was so good.yum
Pineapple upside down cheesecake to finish the dinner and we were so pleased we went back for breakfast.
Next morning breakfast was again outstanding
We had yogurt parfait and crab cake sandwich. Scones and burger

We had a lovely meal at The Pier House and came away impressed by the freshness and care that went into the dishes. The highlight of the evening was definitely the pork chops—tender, perfectly cooked, and seasoned just right. And the miso marinated salmon was just a pure work of art!
The crab cake was the one dish that didn’t quite hit the mark for me; it was a little on the dry side and could have used a bit more flavor to really shine. Still, I would say it was good, and everything else more than made up for it.
Dessert was a high note. The crème brûlée had the ideal balance of creamy custard and crackly caramelized top, while the raspberry ice cream was bright, refreshing, and a perfect finish to the evening.
The environment was elegant yet relaxing and welcoming, which made it easy to settle in and enjoy ourselves. The staff were friendly and attentive, quick to clear plates without being intrusive.
Overall, The Pier House gave us a meal we thoroughly enjoyed—fresh ingredients, warm hospitality, and a few truly standout moments. We’d be happy to return.

Absolutely amazing meal and service. We had 3 appetizers, 3 entrees and 3 desserts. Every single item was top notch. Absolutely beautiful dining room with cozy booths or tables. Fabulous bar and a gorgeous terrace. We cannot wait to go back again. Nice friendly manager and an awesome server. #10 out of #10. I tasted a bite of everything and everything was excellent. Even the vegetables and sides were perfectly seasoned and buttered. Don’t sleep on this place and make a reservation. You can thank me later

We had the Grilled Octopus app, which was a tad over cooked and a tad salty — however everything else was so exquisite this one snag was absolutely acceptable. The Tuna Tower appetizer was a chef special rhisnparticular evening, and incredibly delicious.
For dinner, we had the Short Ribs, and the Beet Salad. The short ribs were fork-tender and the sides were perfectly paired. The Beet Salad was very tasty, and while there was an option to add chicken or shrimp, I elected to refrain. For dessert, the flourless chocolate cake was decadent and sinful in the best ways, and the creme brulee was just what I’d hoped it would be.
For an extremely busy night, we were out in under 2 hours. Our server, Sandra, was lovely, friendly, and a joy with every customer. She was personable and an absolute pleasure.
Hands down would recommend this beachfront gem in Cape May.

Had dinner on Saturday night and the place was almost full. Very nicely decorated for Christmas. We were seated right away but did not get a server for about ten mins. Our server took our drink order and we waited about another 10-15 mins to receive them ( my beer was room temp by then ). Placed our order and it took about 40 mins to receive which was fine ( server told us the kitchen was very slow ). Three of us got the Pork and it was cooked perfectly, my wife loved the Crab Cakes. Service was not good at all, she never came to check on our meal or to refill our drinks. Would recommend this place for the food but hopefully you get another server then I had.

What a beautiful gem of a restaurant! The food is outstanding, however what makes it extra special are the wonderful staff. Starting with Hector the general manager whose professionalism, warmth and care made our dinners spectacular! Elio, Leyda, Silviou, Diana and Totti treated us like family! Needless to say we can’t wait to stay at La Mer and enjoy the Pier House!

My parents and I went out for dinner, and my mom ordered the steak. unfortunately, it was extremely disappointing. It lacked flavor entirely and even had a taste which made my mom not want eat it. We all tried it and agreed something was not right, very overcooked . We had visited over the summer and ordered the filet then as well and it was excellent that time, both the food and the service were great. That’s part of why we came back.
When we brought up the issue to our server, she responded with an attitude and told us it was the same steak they always serve. It was disappointing to be met with defensiveness instead of understanding, especially given our past experience this summer which was a good one.

The food was just okay considering the price. The octopus was delicious! Probably second best I’ve ever had. And my cocktail was good. But it stopped there. The soup was under-seasoned. The cocktail sauce was just ketchup,minimal horseradish. The branzino special was just okay. Wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend.
