Cruiser’s is a drive through burger, chicken & fish place. Fries, cheese curds onion rings etc. The food is made fresh while you wait and it only takes a few minutes to get your order. My fries were so fresh I had to let them cool before I could even eat them. Food is SOOOO DELICIOUS!!! If you’re ever in the area, this is a Definite MUST stop to eat!!! Oh and the portions are also very generous! I wasn’t able to eat my whole meal. Even with my 3 pups helping me.

If you like the idea of crinkle cut fries and a lot of them. This is the place to go and get the “Turbo” size fries. Great food and great prices. Onion rings… They have them. Deep fried button mushrooms they had them. Burgers. Go for it. Hotdogs.. bring it on. Brats too. Spring, summer and fall sitting outside with cooperation from the weather. Fantastic.

Decided to stop here during our long drive. Burgers were so good! Not greasy and so tasty. Customer service was 10/10. Hate this is so far from me and will definitely stop again some day.

I travel through Effingham every few weeks and when I am craving a fish sandwich this is the place to stop! I travel across 3 states and this is the best fish sandwich in this part of the country. Nice large piece of fish (not the well known puny little square fish!) and more fish than bun! It is fried nice and crispy and delicious! I see people complain about their “limp” fries, but I love them. I don’t care for crunchy fries.
Their combo is only a few dollars more than the puny square combo, but no comparison – Cruiser’s wins!

$47 for 2 chicken strip meals (that were missing the gravy, the fries were soggy and limp) and 3 hotdog kids meals that looked like they had been on the roller all day. This place has always been a little over priced, but at least it used to be good.

Cruisers is a long standing establishment in Effingham and many enjoy it.
I, however, do not. The quality of the food is not the best but you do get a good amount of fries.
They are famous for their hamburgers but I don’t think anything is as good as the chicken noodle soup which is seasonal.
I just think for the price that you pay you should get a better quality product.

This was the most bland food I have ever paid for. I’ve had more flavorful food in a hospital or high school cafeteria. My 9yr old, who has never complained about food at a restaurant, refused to eat her hamburger because it “tasted like nothing”. The chicken tenders were no better. The only reason the Chicago Dog had flavor was due to the sport peppers.
Not only was the food flavorless, but not one of the employees were in a good mood or kind. When my nearly 70yr old dad asked what came on the Chicago Dog the girl pointed at a picture and said, “Everything it says on the picture. ” She couldn’t even be bothered to tell him, or maybe she had absolutely no idea what was on it. Either way, her attitude was not appreciated.
The other employee that brought us our food seemed very upset that we had asked for ketchup and salt, even though the customer has no access to them.
In the time we were there the drive thru had 3 cars in it at most. It’s not like they were extremely busy and stressed out, but not one of them smiled at all. It felt like ordering food from this establishment was an absolute inconvenience to these employees, who would rather be doing anything else.
If it wasn’t awkward enough trying to share a tiny galley-style kitchen space with other strangers that you have to side-scoot by to get a drink, add in some employees that look angry you decided to come in.
I would never recommend this place to anyone I actually liked. If I could give a negative rating – I would.
