After unfortunately forgetting my lunchbox at home, I found Toma-Tis on Ubereats and decided to give them a try. I got the southern bowl, which came with fried cauliflower, greens and Mac’n’cheese. I was really impressed with the crispiness of the breading on the cauliflower — especially considering the delivery time between when it was made and when I got it. The greens were super delicious and flavorful, and the Mac’n’cheese really rounded out the meal. It was a great portion and I definitely want to try other options from Toma-Tis in the future!

Visiting for the weekend from Toronto, Canada and was hoping to find Jamaican vegetarian food – finding Toma-Tis was an absolute BLESSING!!! I’m here to tell you I have NEVERRRRR tasted food this good in life!! In all my travels, and food adventures (because I’ve actually driven as far as Connecticut for food on one of my recent trips to NY because I wasn’t enjoying the food fully) Toma-Tis stands tall above all else. Not only will I rush back to try more, I can tell you the staff were pleasant, patient and helpful the entire time. Don’t walk, run come!!

One of the best vegan restaurants on Long Island! Flavors that leave you wishing you ordered more! The mushroom fried chicken tastes better than any fried chicken I’ve ever eaten (before becoming plant based)! I’m not kidding. Perfectly crispy. Texture is on point. Seasoning is real right. Finger looking good! The okra was the truth. The oxtail was like no other. The sweet plantains were perfectly ripe and perfectly fried. Everything on this menu undeniably slaps. The food is made to order, so patience is a virtue! Worth the wait every time!

I really enjoyed the customer service here and the vegan oxtails and rice . What a treat for me i have been vegan for 13 years and one thing i never tried when i was pre vegan was oxtails and gravy. I was so happy today to be able to make that flavor out i been dreaming of for years. Very delicious food made with absolute love will be back !!!! The veggie patties were delicious too.

So my pregnant wife had a craving for some clean plant-based foods that didn’t taste processed and we found Toma Tis. We enter the restaurant and there was only one cook knocking out 10 orders. She said “it’s a lot but she knows the community needs her.” I love her dedication and commitment to care for her community even while under pressure. The food isn’t just great but you get a wholesome experience at the same time. Hands down my wife & I new favorite restaurant.

I called the restaurant today on my daughter’s birthday (2/26/24) to ask for a table for 5 people including two children. I was told there’s not enough seating for everyone but they would gladly accommodate us at the event space next door. I agreed. My family arrived at around 6 and the two ladies took our order and Yvonne took a few minutes to prepare the table for us. When she led us into the room we were so delighted and astounded! The place was so beautifully decorated, and she managed it in a very short time! All the food was delicious! She made my daughter feel so special, she danced with the girls and helped cut the cake! I was very lucky and blessed to have been given this wonderful memory! It was such a pleasure to meet Yvonne, she is so sweet and has such a good heart! I will definitely be back again soon!

The food is cooked/made to order so it’s served hot and fresh; it’s seasoned well and tastes delicious. The ladies are personable, will make recommendations and make you feel valued as a customer. I commented how a dish being prepared smelled so good and was offered a free sample – I will be going back to order a jackfruit wrap and much more because EVERYTHING was delicious!

It’s not really an eat in type of place but the food was fenomenal!!! The fried chicken with the jerk sauce on the side, the oxtail, the coconut cake, the curry potatoes, the ginger beer!! I can’t wait to start at the top of the menu and work my way down dish by dish. Never have I been more excited about “discovering” a new, fantastic, place to eat.

The food is amazing and made fresh! I had the oxtails, loaded sweet potato, spinach & pumpkin patties, carrot, coconut & red velvet cake slices. My sister had the curry chicken, okra, and plantains. All are 100% vegan and very tasteful. The owner came out to greet us as she saw we were new customers. My sister and I totally love it and will definitely be back for more! I highly recommend going to this wonderful gem!

If you’re looking for really great vegan food Toma Tis is the place to go. I was excited to finally have someplace 5 minutes from home with delicious options. I’ve gone twice in past 2 weeks and was exceptionally surprised both times. The vegan oxtails look good and have the flavor too match. Today I tried the fried chicken and was impressed how much they looked like chicken wing flats but had to texture of the meat. It was fried perfectly loved the crunch. Comes with a great side salad too. The vegan Mac and cheese taste good as well. I was blown away how delicious the plant-based chocolate cake tasted truly can not tell a difference. I highly recommend and will return again and again.
