Reviews
First and foremost, this establishment has moved from its old location in the base to a new one. Previously, it was located nearby the gas station, now it is located inside the same building as the MCX. With that said, the store is exactly how you would expect. You enter, you order, you see your sub (or food being made), then you leave. Due to COVID, there is not dine-in capabilities but there are plenty of outdoor dining area just outside the MCX.
This particular location really gives good portions for your orders. They do not try to shortchange you whenever you order bacon etc. Customer service is also decent, they are busy and they are obviously trying to serve you as fast as they can with a smile but over the service is decent. The prices are what you would normally expect from any other location, though I think since this is on the Camp Pendleton base, there is not tax upon payment. The parking lot is plentiful, even though it shares a parking lot with the MCX and other business nearby, but you will definitely have a parking spot.
Overall, this location is pretty good! I am sure to return since it is convenient and delicious. Give it a try!
We came in uniform, and after we placed our order we were told to wait outside, meanwhile a gaggle of people in civilian attire that ordered after us were allowed to stay inside the store and wait for their food.
As a service member, I feel disrespected but at the same time I’m surprised because this is a military base.
