Whoa, Lam’s Garden’s food Rocks! We went 2/15/26, and have now found the best Vietnamese food place, in Hilo! There was a short wait, but they have chairs to sit and wait. There’s a sign in sheet too, and huge tv’s on the wall, so you can watch stuff. 2026 is starting off great, by trying out all the places we didn’t go to, for the past 5 years! Definitely returning!

I give 2 stars because how they charge my tip. I ordered take out and only put down ~$5 as tip. Review my receipt through Square. I see they charged $10 tip even though my bill was only $39.79. Remember to review your receipt through Square before you leave this restaurant.

One of the best Vietnamese restaurants that we’ve been to. Being used to authentic Vietnamese cuisine in California, Washington and Asia, we are extremely selective when it comes to Thai food.
The service was good with great menu selections. Servings were very generous and all the dishes were delicious! All the ingredients and vegetables were very fresh.

Overall, I’d come back in a pinch, but would try other places first to see if there is better.
Three phos, one chicken pho. Pho broth is boss. Not too salty or fatty. Right on the mark. You will leave satisfied and not overly fully.
The chicken pho though? Unique, but not necessarily in good way. Had a significant fish sauce or a canh cua/sweet & sour taste. Not necessarily bad. Was not what was expected and, thus, not finished.

Amazing food! Great find and great service. Their Vietnamese coffee wasn’t as authentic and more on the sweet size. Singaporean rice and pho were pretty good (large portions) and at a good price too! Great for people who are vegetarian because they had many veggie options. Highly recommend!

We went on a Tuesday evening around 6 PM and it was quite busy. We ordered the tea and lemongrass curry chicken that came with a side of rice and Singapore noodles. The chicken curry was good, had good amount of veggies in it. Noodles were okay.

I have had good experiences eating here. There’s tons of parking and the interior is really nice, and the menu is expansive and gives lots of vegetarian options, compared to other places in town. The servers we had today were both very nice girls who were attentive and pleasant. The only thing is that this place always seems kind of empty, and it can feel a bit strange being the only people in the restaurant.

This was my first time having a Banh Mi and I was far from dissapointed. The chicken was grilled and marinated to perfection and the vegetables were really fresh. My husband ordered the stir fry Vermicelli Bowl and that was just as delicious. Not to mention all of that food was only around $30! Definitely worth the time to go and check it out!

I was feeling under the weather and wanted some soup. Lam’s was the only ones open. Wow, was I surprised. This is one of the best Chicken Pho and Summer Rolls in Hilo!! This is my favorite Vietnamese dishes so you can bet I’ve tried almost all of the restaurant’s here. Their staff is friendly and the service is timely, even though the the restaurant was full. I’ll be back for more!!
