2nd visit here with my Daughter and Grandkids. Had a very good tuna and chicken salad sandwich with some tasty potato salad. I had a very nice drip coffee which they get from a roaster in Texas. My daughter had a reuben and my Grandkids had a Frito Pie which they loved and a grilled cheese. Kids had a couple of Krispy Treats lattes which were found on their vast array of lattes in their drink menu which comes in a binder. The workers are super nice and the owner took a few minutes to talk to us. I told her we love her unique little sandwich/ old fashioned coffee shop. Great food, drinks, service and super prices. I want to come every time I visit. No wonder its so busy!

Have always experienced the best of customer service here. No matter the time of day, how busy they are, they’ve always given me superb service. The sandwich options are unique, and some of the combinations I would’ve never tried had it not been for their wonderfully crafted menu.

Reasonably priced with quality coffee (Im picky with my coffee, so was surprised to find something this good in a small town) and a great avocado turkey sandwich. The macaroni salad was a nice touch. Small-town hospitality made it a fun and memorable experience.

Fantastic atmosphere, service, and food! Sweet tea as good as they make it in the South. I got the sandwich special, side of soup and a drink for $7! I was so surprised I had to ask her to repeat the price. No photos because the food was too good to wait

Amazing sandwich. I had a great time here. The clients are so friendly and polite. The staff very attentive and the place was so comfortable. I hadn’t sat and conversed so elegantly in a fat minute. Will be coming back every time I’m in portales. God bless this place

Almost went to a place very close to this one but didn’t because the prices were outrageous. Decided instead on the Do Drop In and man did we luck out!! Not sure where to even start on all the pros..prices were reasonable, service was beyond excellent..very friendly and helpful, great atmosphere with cute games to play while waiting, food was delicious, servings were plentiful and the cherry on top was their homemade ice cream!! I couldn’t recommend this place enough. Will definitely be going back the next time we’re in Portales and recommending it to all of our friends and family.

Terrific little place to take a break. Great coffee and snack/lunch food. They have an extensive coffee menu. The place also has an original saloon bar complete with history. The story of the bar is available to read. I would recommend anybody with a little time to kill spend it here.

My roommates and I have been waiting to try this place and it did not disappoint! The set up for the inside is magnificent and I love the energy. The food was to die for! We had the country club, the raspberry gobbler, the lumberjack (which is pictured in the post), and potato salad. Everything tasted extremely delicious! You can tell it was homemade and cared for. The prices are insanely cheap and they stack a lot of ingredients in the sandwich. Definitely going back and definitely recommend!
