This is more of a carryout place than a dine-in; but, this place is worth going out of your way. The chicken and seafood is a taste of heaven. I would come here more often, but I live in Hammond, IN. I believe the long ride here is worth it. Don’t think about ot just come and see for yourself you’ll understand. I was so anxious to eat I didn’t photo first.

When you look up the word “Generous” in the dictionary, Hienie’s comes up. Tami and crew are incredibly hard working and have top-tier service you dont find very often nowadays. This place has been around forever and is still providing some of the best value you can find anywhere. Hienie’s is your perfect quick lunch stop if you live around the area. Personally, I would travel here if I wasn’t a local already. A++++

Food is always great there! There chicken is the best along with there potatoe wedges!! I recommend the hot sauce as well! Not to spicy but tastes really good! Atmosphere I only gave three stars due to only 3 tables to sit at. But its clean and staff is really friendly and fast service.

I had the perch & shrimp combo (with potato wedges, coleslaw, and roll). Served quickly & very hot, the portions was generous and priced right! Friendly staff “talked me into” banana pudding for dessert. I had a wonderful lunch! Thanks!

Really great little hole in the wall style place with amazing fried chicken and other southern style dishes like fried shrimp platters and lots of fun sides to choose from, Mac n cheese, Cole slaw, fried Zucchini, fries
mashers and even potato wedges and basics like that but done really well! Delicious Carrot Cake as well it’s sooo good!:) Great prices and they even have lunch deals but still you get a lot of food for the price so come hungry:) Only thing is there’s only a handful of tables inside for seating so it’s mostly to go but there’s usually a table to sit at if ya do wanna dine in.

My family’s go to for Chicken for many years. Always delicious and consistent. We usually order the family chicken with mashed potatoes, coleslaw, and a few filets of catfish, all of which are cooked to perfection and taste out of this world! The customer service is always friendly and hospitable.

Great Customer Service… Fast service. I had the Jumbo Shrimp, Chicken Chunks, Baked beans, Cole slaw, Roll, Wedges and Biscuits. The shrimp tasted great. Next time I will try the famous hot sauce. Definitely worth trying the shrimp. Baked beans and coleslaw were very good. Not a big fan of the biscuits. Chicken chunks were just ok. The wedges were good as well. You won’t be disappointed if you try this place.

I’ve been eating their famous fried chicken, potato wedges and mild sauce since I was a kid. But they also have a few hidden secrets like their homemade Italian Beef!! Also they acquired a the best new baker in the South Side, SAM who makes the best cookies, cakes and pies I’ve ever had. Lastly, ask for Tammy!! She makes the best fried chicken sandwich on the Planet!!

Great food!!!!! I love the chicken chucks & strips and the potatoes are good too. I personally like the Greek potatoes but the other choices they have are good too. Other places that sell Chicken have nothing on them. They are in a league of there own. The owners and staff are very friendly.

I been here many times. Walk in or dine in ….. Always a good experience. Unfortunately I went on a Monday and a note was on the door CLOSED TODAY will be open tomorrow Tuesday. Bummer for me because they have the best chicken STAND it’s a little drive for me. Oh well …. I’ll get over it.
