Soups are delicious, everyday Jay’s serves up a different soup with some very unique flavors. The pork, turkey , beef sandwiches are fresh and flavorful. We ate in and it would have been nice if they included some chips with their sandwiches. As you can see in the picture they have a limited menu and all extras are a $1 each with makes an individual sandwich add up quickly. Definitely worth a try and dont forget the soup.

Best soup in the area. However, the selection changes daily. They offer 2 soups per day and then are offered in pints to go. Soups are posted for the week. I just wish the chicken noodle was made more frequently. They give samples on the soup if you’re unsure.

Excellent quality subs, salads, and other offerings. I got a shrimp cocktail from their cooler once which was totally random, but the shrimp was absolutely perfect.

Oh, they do BBQ too but haven’t tried that yet

I was looking to pick up something quick, NOT fast food, for my mom. And a little more special than, say, pasta…I definitely regretted not being in for awhile, and then I remembered Jay’s has crab cakes! I got one from the cooler, and decided to get a cup of lentil soup to go for her too. In addition, if you’ve ever tried the homemade chips, you know how addicting they are, I had to have a bag of the house seasoned chips for myself! As a side note, I have LITERALLY never tried a soup here I haven’t at least liked, if not loved! Such a crazy variety it’s tough to keep up…Buffalo chicken wing, chicken staple soups, Italian wedding, mini pierogi, piggy soup, potato/corn chowder, seafood bisque! You have to keep tabs on the website to see what’s next! They offer 2 fresh types per day, plus you can take chilled containers to reheat for yourself later! The place is SPOTLESS. Hard to come by in most other stores like this. Very much appreciated to know that Jake cares and has staff properly trained in food safety practices to deliver greatness to anyone who comes in the doors! In addition, he is an actual CHEF. Not some home cook that stepped out of their comfort zone for fun. If you want to try a new soup flavor, do it. I trust people like him to wow me with new stuff I haven’t tried! Unsure? Ask for a sample before you get some of the hot soup on for the day to make sure you totally love it! On board with try it before you buy it! Ok, lengthy side note but it needed to be said! Anyway, I left with my foodstuffs, secretly hating friendly cashier guy, because he asked “Have you ever tried the chips in the morning as soon as they’re done cooking? Omg!” No, man. I haven’t. He has. Apparently, I need to get up early one of these days and head up and eat chips for breakfast. I made it to my mom’s in decent order, and was anxious to know what she thought. Lentil was never her first choice for a soup, she prefers a solid chicken noodle. But she said the beef broth was great, and she actually loved it. The crab cake on the other hand? I’m surprised she could talk so much at the same time as eating because she couldn’t stop saying how fantastic it was! She reheated in a pan with a dab of butter, it started to crumble a bit when flipped, but that’s what you get with no filler! I felt like I cheated myself for not getting one for me! I assure you next time that won’t happen, I’m happy I found my mom a new crab cake obsession after King Neptune left and their fried fish disappeared… I scarfed down my chips though, wouldn’t eat them while driving because they are messy, not a bad thing! They don’t skimp on seasoning, so the powder gets everywhere. The house seasoning is a nice, sour-creamy type with not too much salt. Can I have the recipe please? LOL. I didn’t waste the rest in the bottom of the bag after the chips were gone- my mom passed on the crackers, so later I tossed them all in the bag, bonus for me! Definitely trying the BBQ dust next time too! If you read this far, you probably need to go and get some soup by now, my reviews get a little crazy long sometimes!

Don’t eagerly give a bad rating, but this joint was awful . Overpriced dry meat, small portions, tasteless. This is not bbq, it’s on par with Virginia bbq the chain that didn’t last cause there meat came from a bag.

Great customer service. Great chips! Sour cream chip is our favorite. Our favorite is the beef sandwich. Wish there were sandwich places like this in my area.
