I rarely give a review this low, however this place was the worst restaurant I’ve been to in a long time. First off, flies, gnats, flies, and more gnats!!!!!!! We sat by the window originally. We asked to be moved due to the surreal amount of flies everywhere. We moved midway back, and it didn’t take long for the gnats and flies to follow us. Personally, I would have left, however I was with a group from work. The server was great. I ordered the blackened chicken sandwich. The meat was incredibly dry. The thick toast it comes on was very much overly toasted. The chicken itself was about 1/8 of inch thick. The cheese on both pieces looked melted, however I literally could peel the whole piece of cheese off at once. It was like what you think of when you recall old school cafeteria grill cheese. The fries were okay. They were just basic, and they were very heavy on the black pepper. I did try a crawfish egg roll, as everyone at my table ordered them. They lacked seasoning and were very greasy to me. They all seemed to enjoy them though. I will definitely not return here. I’m not sure how they stay open. It’s no wonder we were the only customers there at 11:45 in the middle of the day. Don’t waste your time here. All of this for $16. They should visit Super Chix in Tupelo and try their blackened chicken sandwich and fries. It is fast food and it is 100 times better! We all literally swatted gnats and flies the entire time we were eating. I think it would have been better off to eat outside than in this place.

I am Italian so a good Italian restaurant is really important to me.
I went to have a late Lunch with my friends and it was amazing.
Some friends recommend we try the mozzarella sticks and let me tell you, they are the best mozzarella sticks I ever had. Fun fact, on Mondays they have half-price on them and they have other offers that I can’t remember of but I think that’s every day they have something new.
I had a chicken parmigiana and I wanted to order one to go because it was so good, thick chicken breast with good marinara sauce, and the pasta tasted like real parmesan cheese.
My friend ordered a lasagna, I didn’t try it but she said it was good. And my other friends order a bbq pizza and she loved it, she took some slices to go and another friend tried it and she love it too.
Service was amazing, the guy that served us was so nice and it seem he cared about his job.
Prices were reasonable I been to another local restaurant and comparing to this one prices are good. The restaurant itself is really pretty and it gives you Italian vibes.
I will definitely be coming back and bringing some new people to try this food.

Our waitress was lovely and the environment was very nice. We ordered the mozzarella sticks as our appetizer and they were unlike any mozzarella stick I’ve had before. They lacked a little flavor but the cheese was so weirdly soft, I liked it and thought it was nice cause I’ve never had a cheese stick that stayed soft through the whole time eating it. My partner ordered the Ceasar salad and I ordered the lasagna. My partner said her salad was decent and while I loved the flavor of the lasagna, I thought it was very mushy. The texture threw off the experience cause the flavors were great. Overall not a bad experience.

With no preconceived notions, we stumbled upon Venice Kitchen for lunch today. The atmosphere is friendly and well in keeping with what you’d expect from a square adjacent Oxford restaurant. The decor is pretty unassuming, which immediately indicates that the food is the focus. The French 75 is one of their menu-listed cocktails, and it does not disappoint. Light on the garnish and easy on the syrup, this one falls into the recommended category. The warm fresh bread with butter was an unrequested delight. The mozzarella sticks are not the usual thawed and fried version you expect. They’re more the size of pecan logs. The cheese more than compensates for a bland marinara. Salad for me, chicken parm for my companion. We left stuffed. Their pizza menu lists lots of great possibilities. We will be back.

The cranberry-walnut-goat cheese trio on the salad is divine! Loved that vegetarians are very welcome here – many options (starters, salads, pizzas)

Really liked the interior: nice details, paintings, mirrors. Service was fast and attentive, listened to all requests.

The upstairs of this place is called the Summit. This place is a small bar with a ski lodge decor. There is a small patio that looks out towards the square. The pizza is Napoletana style. The Buffalo Chicken pizza is my favorite. They had some awesome specials for a Saturday. $10 bottomless Mich Ultra. The bartenders are nice guys and very entertaining.

First time visiting Old Venice. Upon walking in my group was greeted and seated pretty fast. I ordered the Pasta Maria. It is penne noodles with goat cheese, red sauce, and chicken. It was definitely different than any other pasta. My friends had pizzas and they loved it! Our server was very nice and she checked on us very often.

Really good food. They have more than Pizza. I had Chicken Parmesan with Alfredo instead of Marinara. At first it looked over cooked but it tasted great. Service was good too. The young lady that was our server was very nice.

Police called after order sent back

When the waitress, Kaydn, took the order, I originally ordered the Rasta Pasta. The menu described it as having Caribbean Jerk Cream Sauce, which sounded flavorful. When the food arrived and I started to eat, I wasn’t a fan of the pasta, because it didn’t have the distinctive fire of jerk seasoning, it tasted boring but peppery. I took 2 bites and didn’t like the food so I immediately waved someone down. Once the Kaydn got to the table I asked if it was possible for me to switch out the dish because it wasn’t my taste and she said she would have to ask someone about their policy on doing so and left. When she came back she asked what else I would like and took the plate with the Rasta Pasta. I asked that the Rasta Pasta to be exchanged for Chicken Parmesan. When the check came, I informed the Kaydn that I was charged for both meals and she said it was because I ordered both. I said, if the Chicken Parmesan was a replacement dish and I only took two bites of the Rasta Pasta, why was I charged for both? She went back to speak to her manager Sidney Gallatin and returned to advise me that because I ate it and there was nothing wrong with the dish that I still had to be charged. I explain, that I wouldn’t be paying for a dish I didn’t eat and that I gave back practically untouched. The waitress, Kaydn, got the manager Sidney, who claimed that I had eaten some of the dish and there was nothing wrong with it. I refused to pay since I was never told about being charged for both meals and I didn’t even get to keep the Rasta Pasta as they had already trashed it. Sidney Gallatin said that it was their policy. I asked, why that was never made clear, as the waitress only asked me what I wanted after I explained that I was not happy with the pasta. After I said I would pay for everything except the pasta, the manager said she would call the cops to handle this issue, so we waited. Once an officer arrived he talked to Sidney the manager and then me. He agreed that he’s never heard of a policy that charged someone from their original meal and their replacement but in order to avoid them filing and taking me to court it would just be easiest to pay them. Sidney would not even speak to me and had another manager Cross stay in the dining area when the officer came even though I requested her. A bill that was originally supposed to be less than $20 came out to $35. I’m saddened at how this was handled and want others to know their “policy” so they can avoid suffering the anxiety and embarrassment that I have.
