Amazing food! Seriously some of the best Thai I’ve ever had! And such delightful people. Love that this place is family run, that they put great ingredients and authentic recipes front and center and honestly the peanut sauce is to die for…I would travel continents for it alone! I am now planning an annual SLO trip, mostly to eat here again!!

There’s street parking and parking behind the building, both with their own entrance. Easy to find and easy access. The food is great. I’m not sure if you can add spice levels when ordering, but they accommodated me with some chili oil and chili paste. The “crack” sauce for the crab cheese is addicting. Definitely worth a try.

I LOVE PAPA’S THAI!!! My friends, and I always go for some Thai tea or their green Thai tea. I am also a big fan of their pad thai and their pad sea ew. The workers are very friendly and always recognize us when we come back hahaha. I highly recommend everyone to go there, this place has my heart❤️

This is a gem in this town. Very delicious Thai food. Spacious dine-in place with friendly staffs. Place order first and they will serve your orders to your table. Friendly reminder : don’t choose extra spicy (actually this is invented by myself they don’t have this option )

I walked into Papa’s Thai Cafe, unsure of what to expect. What I got was quite possibly the most authentic, heavenly, and delicious experience in SLO. Go to this place, indulge yourself in the food. The atmosphere was amazing, the restaurant was clean, and the owners were extremely friendly. The Pad Thai was on par with the food I ate at five star restaurants in Thailand, I genuinely thought I was back, eating a local spot at Samsen Alley in Bangkok. The Spicy Pork Fried Rice was also amazing, and unfortunately it is the only dish I took a picture of. The fried wontons and vegetable egg rolls were a nice treat as well. I can’t recommend this place any more than I already have. 10/10.

I had the Ginger Meat, they did it really spicy as I requested. Super fresh and great flavours. The veggies were a bit oily and the rice was basic. Very reasonable price for this quality!
Update:
I’ve been back several times since my first visit. The food is consistently great. I especially recommend the curries, my favorite is the pumpkin curry

Oh MY! The food was SO GOOD!
the Crab cheese wontons were the best I have EVER HAD, and the sauce equally good!
The Pad Thai I had, and my wife’s yellow curry, both top of the line.
Prices were great!
We ate outside, on the street, was OK, day was nice, it was shaded!

We loved our meal here. The staff (owners?) that we spoke to were super nice and the drunken noodle was delicious and spicy. We got one chicken and one pork. The vegetables were cooked just right so as not to be too mushy. One of the best drunken noodles I’ve had in a while and that’s my go-to dish.
