The only surprise was that it is no more a dining place with seating arrangement. There are seats and booths but it is now closed with only takeout option. The staff taking the orders was friendly. I ordered #ShrimpChowMein The large serving was really large; good for two as you get a small container of rice. They do not have #halal or #kosher meat option, so you need to go for seafood if #halal is your preference. The food stayed hot all the way to my hotel and I enjoyed it. I wish, I had ordered some hot sauce as it was not in the bag.

I love Diamond House! I definitely recommend it as a really good restaurant in town. The service and food are great. It was one of my favorites as a kid, and still remains as my favorite today! If you’re a fan of noodles like me, I would recommend getting the lo mein!

Szechuan Beef, Coconut Shrimp, Curry Chicken, Sweet and Sour Pork, Pork Fried Rice, Fried Dumplings, Cream Cheese Wontons. Ordered all these items multiple times. It’s always consistent in quality and flavor, always delicious and hot. One time they didn’t text me that my order was ready, but that doesn’t bother me. They give me an estimated time, so I’m heading there at that time any ways. I’ll get there at the estimated time they gave me and wait 10 minutes for the text. If I don’t get the text I walk in and see if my order is ready. No problem. Best Chinese food in town hands down.

Orders have been correct and plentiful. But lacking in veggies when I have ordered one with. Veggies are fairly inexpensive, would be nice to have them in my meal, when they are ordered.
The one that they need to do fix and update , are their hours! They state they are open at 10am on Sat on google, but their flyer states 11am. When I’ve called at either times, no one answers. Tried for hours one Sat, cause I thought maybe they were busy.
It would be nice if they would update to which is correct and even maybe a msg, if they are gonna be closed. I know things happen, but it just seems to be too regular lately.

4/11/24 my wife purchased supper here which we have many times it was good but last nights food was absolutely disgusting we the the shrimp fried rice it was so dry you had drown it with water to swallow and the pork egg rolls had absolutely very little ingredients inside and then wontons was like taking a bite out of a block of cream cheese with no flavor!!!! Totally disgusting meal probably won’t be back.

Our food was good; hot, flavorful and fresh. There was plenty to eat for our family. It would be nice to go into the restaurant and sit down for a meal. I understand the challenges with staffing and Covid-19 still linger though. This was our first time ordering from Diamond House. We’ll be back for more.

The food is pretty good. There is no dining in–it’s all takeout. Staff is friendly. However, if they make a mistake in your order, they do not offer to “make it right” in any way and don’t appear to be too concerned about it. And unless you take everything out of the bag when you pick it up, you won’t know about the mistake until you get home. Fortunately, they don’t usually make mistakes, but it does happen. The first time it happened to me, I called and the person who answered the phone offered me a cheery “oh sorry!” No refund, no promise to try to do better. My only recourse was to drive back to pick up the missing item. The food is already getting a big cold by the time I get it home in the first place, so I didn’t do that.

I have reconsidered my review of 1 star. The food is good here. The price of 4 meals was $71. Basis of my initial poor rating. However! The portions are large enough to feed 2-3 Americans. Maybe a small village elsewhere. Considering that, it’s probably fair or better than fair. I’d leave 5 stars if price was given over phone so we weren’t surprised and we were short 2 egg rolls.
