I loved this place . Down home local crew . I’m sure the place has been here FOREVER . excellent breakfast excellent price. I’m from out of town . NJ so when you walk in don’t be afraid. Just pull up a chair or a stoll soak in the century and be ready for a superb meal .

Great execution of the steak fries, they are crispy and hot to the touch. On the other hand, the double 1/2 pound cheeseburger was so gross, the pancakes were same quality as dare-ree-land, and the skillet was too dog gone salty for anyone with taste buds. Oh and the coffee was so bad it not only tasted stale but was warm at best. I would return to order the steak fries and that’s it. There is more, like the speed of the service, but I will stop here, since they looked way understaffed and two employees can only do so much.

Good, standard fare at this authentic “old time diner.”
The charm is obvious, as it’s presence in the midst of a old eastside Madison neighborhood takes you back to the days when such neighborhood diners were common.
Once inside, one is transported back in time as it’s small, has a counter with stools, a chalkboard with the day’s specials, a few tables and a friendly waitress and owner.
The food is great and speedy. The owner friendly & congenial. Prices are average for a small, Madison diner.
Go. It’s worth it.

Came before close and they were super nice about it! It was my first time, I ordered huevos rancheros, two French toast, and a bowl
Of chili. Food was delicious and chili was a great treat Togo. Prices were very well for area and the ambience was of 50’s. I really liked this small diner. 5 stars

I adore coming here. It feels like one of those places that’s outside of time, and everyone seems to know each other. It’s extremely relaxed, affordable, with better food than the average greasy spoon.

it’s a great hole in the wall diner I mean it makes you feel like you’re in George Webb’s but they never shut their sign off it always says open.

The eat! If you want to eat then this is the place to go. They have food. They have breakfast lunch and dinner all in a period of 5 hours. Thats quick service! I mean its literally called “the eat” so basically they do have food and you can eat it. What else could you ask for? If it seems like its closed just try to smash down the door or something because it might be stuck. Or, it might have just closed early because thats how they roll.

I ordered the Denver Skillet with cheese. It was way over cooked. The eggs over medium were cooked too long and no longer had yoke. My french toast had an onion taste almost as if the grill was not cleaned or scraped between orders.
