Poor quality food, at a high price.
The quality is declining, and the service was only adequate. This restaurant is not worth the price tag. I was charged full price for my steak despite the 2 for $55 steak special advertised.
I ordered a Caesar salad with my ribeye but was told they only serve a house salad. I would not have ordered the salad had I known it would be served with fake bacon bits. I ordered my steak medium-rare. The steak came out so tough that I physically felt the table shake while trying to cut it. The texture was extremely fatty, with unrendered fat, and was very chewy. I asked for some butter to top my steak but was given vegetable oil spread, I can only tolerate real butter not fake butter spread. It took an excessive amount of time to get our drinks refilled, even though we were the only group in the restaurant. The total bill with tip was $70 for 2 people, definitely would not return.

Betty’s Parkway Restaurant has been around since 1986…now being run by her son Tim Duncan. The location is pretty cool, high above the Duck River with a wonderful view. My server Christy got me set up with beverages while I looked over the menu. I was not hungry enough for the “Best Steak in Maury County, TN” meal so I went for some Chili and a Steak Sandwich with grilled onions, mushrooms & Swiss. The chili comes out in a huge bowl so it is a meal in itself so some of it came home with me. This is a chili with beans and is chock full of ground beef and beans in a rich (but mild) sauce. The chili is good but it is a bit bland and there is no kick, spice, or heat to the dish. The steak sandwich meat is ribeye and according to Christy is marinated in a special sauce. The meat was cooked as requested and the steak was good and the overall flavor with the hoagie bun, onions, mushrooms, and Au-jus was very good. Overall a nice lunch in a cool atmosphere and the service was great. Loved all of the racing memorabilia from Tim Duncan and now his sons…you can see they are proud of their accomplishments. Its definitely a dive but we liked it! We had a table by the window which looked out over the Duck river. Our wattress was sweet and personable. They gave me a rose for mother’s day.
All the food was good but the chocolate milk shake & steak was great! One of the best in Columbia and with that small town feel.

Fried green tomatoes were outstanding. I had the burger with fries jalapeno and sauteed onions, it was full of flavor. My wife had fish with 2 sides. Great taste, hush puppies were very tasty.

My wife and I ate there tonight. She ordered the beef tips. I ordered the grilled pork chops. The beef tips were pretty good, but the grilled pork chops are the thing to order here, unless you’re in the mood for steak.
Prices were good, the sides were all fresh and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly.

Food was decent. 3 ADULT ORDERS and one child- Took almost an hour and twenty minutes to come out. Hamburger was juicy, but crispy, bun was way over toasted. Our server was the pretty blonde lady with a great personality so that alone is worth a star. Love you, darlin!

The only thing that was good was the managers and servers attitude. Our server didn’t keep our drinks up. We are all having stomach issues and ordered different things. My husband ordered breakfast and it made him sick. I ordered steak and shrimp with sauteed mushrooms, the steak was charred really bad and was rubbery, the mushrooms didn’t taste good and was cold, and I was offered grilled shrimp and was told after I get my food that they only have friend shrimp. My sister ordered a burger and it was hard and dry. The burger and steak was took off and we still owed $30.08, we are not happy at all and will not be returning.
