Everything was great including the service/staff. You can tell they really care about the customers satisfaction. We had Takoyaki, Pork Larb, Papaya Salad, as well as the complimentary spring rolls they gave us. The Takoyaki was perfection! Crispy, fluffy, savory, and creamy. Love the Benito flakes on top. The Larb was very flavorful and tastes traditional/authentic. We loved it. The Papaya salad was also on point. Perfect amount of acidity and spice. And lastly their complimentary spring rolls were

First time there and had a delightful experience. The service was very friendly and attentive. The menu options were vast: sushi, thai, and pho. I had the chicken pho and my wife had an assortment of sushi. Check out the one called Westbrook in the photos! They also comp’d us a desert bc in their view it took too long to get that served (even though it was not much of a wait).

Very fresh ingredients. They actually served our meal with Chinese broccoli-a rare treat in this area. So many Thai choices in greater Portland area but no real standouts. Ocha Thai is different. Fresh, not oily, simple clean flavors, and excellent pho broth -a good indicator of an experienced chef who uses fresh, unprocessed ingredients. We had chicken lo mein , beef pho, pad see ew, fried spring rolls, spicy tuna roll and scallion pancakes. And fried ice cream for dessert! Waiter also brought us a Thai donut to help celebrate a special birthday. We drank water that was continuously refreshed by a very pleasant waiter. The hot tea was presented in individual cups with a bag – good flavor. Don’t be put off by strip mall appearance and bright overhead lighting- the food makes it worthwhile. And very clean, you could see in to the kitchen where we sat and everything like tidy.

I was shopping in the area and happened across this new Thai place, and it was a pleasant surprise. I tried the pad kra pao (hot basil) with pork and shrimp, which has a complex sweet-savory character and subtle kick, as well as that trademark Thai smattering of vegetables, in this case peppers, onions, and green beans.
Another highlight was the beautiful and refreshing deep purple butterfly tea lemonade. I learned that butterfly tea, or blue tea, gets its color from a flower infusion. Then if you add citric acid to it, as you do with lemonade, it turns purple! (See also Wikipedia, (“Butterfly pea flower tea”.)
A special unexpected delight were the donuts, with their holes stacked gently atop them, so that they look like fun hats, bedazzled with powdered sugar and chocolate syrup, and for good measure, a dollop of berries and cream. They might change some of that, but prepared fresh these are good enough that they could open a donut shop!
I rounded it out with scallion pancakes, which are an indulgent deep-fried appetizer to take the edge off of your hunger before the meal comes out. I know that chicken satay is probably the most well-known appetizer at Thai places, but this is worth a try as well.
The menu is large enough but not as overwhelming as it is at some places. If you like Chinese food but want to try a different spin on the stir fry, or if you’re out running errands and want a change from McDonald’s, Panera, or Pizza Hut, I think that this is just the place for you. The prices when I went were reasonable, and the environment is pleasant. They had one little glitch with the music system, but since they only just opened, that’s hardly a knock against them.

Great new spot!! Tried 4 apps, tom yum soup, and Pho; all excellent! Service friendly and attentive. Good value with prices reasonable.

I went for dinner last night on a date. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. We had a delicious dinner that came out quickly. The cherry on the top, the staff were so friendly and kind when we left, I will absolutely be back, run down walk! ♥️
