Tonight, we had the pleasure of dining at the Wildcat in Nielsville, Wisconsin, and it truly surpassed my expectations! This supper club combines a fresh, updated look with the warm hospitality that Wisconsin is known for.

From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the modern decor and inviting ambiance, creating a vibrant yet comfortable atmosphere. Our server was friendly and attentive, ensuring our dining experience was top-notch.

We enjoyed a few refreshing Old Fashioned which we loved.

Overall, the Wildcat offers great value for the quality and portion sizes. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Nielsville, I highly recommend stopping by for an amazing dining experience.

Don’t forget to save room for dessert!

We can’t wait to return!

This was one of the best meals I have had. Service & atmosphere were also good.
Started off with some super soft cinnamon & golden raisin bread & butter. Duck bacon wontons (not pictured because, priorities… – we were hungry). I went with the dill pickle soup (yes, I’m one of those crazy pickle people). – it was super good. Then butternut squash ravioli with some awesome scallops.
Husband had a waygu burger, which he said is one of the best he’s had.
Left with 3 togo boxes since wow, the portions were huge. Don’t pass this place up. Definitely worth it.

My first time here, and I will tell you, they do things a little different. The attention to detail the just little extra bits of technique. And flavor allows this property to be successful for not just the moment. But I assume for years to come. I will be back.

Definitely one of the top supper clubs in the state! The bourbon selection is insane and the food is always exceptional!

Fantastic food, do not let the low ratings deter you from stopping here. The low ratings are because the owner doesn’t want ATVs on the premises, which freedom, right?
Started with a Brandy old fashioned sweet, which was muddled to perfection.
Had a lovely salad with fancy greens and a legitimately funky blue cheese dressing. Ordered the broiled walleye special with a side of wild rice. The kitchen sure knows now to prepare that fish. It tasted like a little Old Bay was on there. It arrived flaky, moist, and hot. I’m so glad I chose that preparation over the traditional deep fry. The wild rice side satisfied my craving for a local flavor. A little crunch on the rice made the dish.
The other person in our party ordered the poutine which they were fully satisfied with. The pull on those cheese curds was most entertaining to watch them manage. The mashed reds were the bomb.
The only two dings I can think of are
1) they offer no beer on tap, this is a hard liquor establishment.
2) the dining area feels cavernous
We’ll be back next time we’re at The Highground. Good work, Wildcat!

Phenomenal first experience at The Wildcat last night! Our little supper club group has toured several clubs over the years and this is our new favorite. Recently remodeled on 2023, The Wildcat offers great drinks and incredible food. The innovative menu has supper club classics while also offering worldly pallet delights. From the savory starters, to the fresh baked bread, the crispy greens salad, and mouth watering mains,The Wildcat is the must visit. Bravo to Chris and the whole family for offering such a fantastic spot for over 20 years. We’ll definitely be back!

The Wildcat has become a favorite of ours. The service is good and the food is high quality. I love their dinner salads and dressing choices. The side options with your entree aren’t basic which is also wonderful. I had root vegetables as my side, they were perfect. Will absolutely return again and again.

We finally got a chance to venture to The Wildcat! I really didn’t have much of an expectation going here other than what your typical supper club would be! I must say I was actually impressed with how modern the interior was and the inviting atmosphere! The food was absolutely great as well as the service. We will definitely go back!
