This DQ has a lake view and is just a short walk or bike ride to Bemidji’s iconic Paul and Babe statues! Tourist shop – McKenzie Place accross the streer. Standard DQ fair… A bit noisy with all the cars going by… Sit on the side and enjoy!

I always enjoy having this DQ. It is often busy and at a great location. Parking is a little tricky and the shared entrance with Ace is a little difficult, but it works. It would be nice if there was more seating with some shade.

Today, it was over 90° and humid. We needed a cool down. This Dairy Queen is tiny. There is not enough room to eat in, but they have benches and a picnic table. There were several people in line, and I assumed there would be a long wait. They had 2 walk-up windows and were surprisingly fast. We were there less than 10 minutes. People were happy about the speed and good ice cream treats. I will definitely go there again. Kudos to the owner and employees!!

We always loved going to Dairy Queen when Mike owned it. I have been twice this summer and it just isn’t the same. They no longer offer chili dogs or chips, and they don’t have fountain soda, only cans. They were out of a lot of ingredients to make stuff. There was one girl taking orders and one girl making things, so I expected the wait to be long. They just didn’t seem… happy to see us. When Mike owned it, the workers always said hi and treated you like family. I hope this is just growing pains and things get better.

This is a wonderful Dairy Queen location not only because of it’s ice cream and staff, but also because of it’s epic location. It is a great place to go to if you are in downtown Bemidji or walking around the lake. The view of the lake is great and the seating area is great. The staff are nice and make the blizzards and other ice cream products relatively quickly.

Rude employees blizzard was ok. Didn’t seem like they tried too hard to make it though, went skimpy on the snickers pieces in my Blizzard. Employee who took my order had such a bad attitude.
