If you’re looking for a spot that nails both atmosphere and quality, Tony J’s is it. From the moment we walked in, the service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and on top of everything without being overbearing.
We ordered a large cheese and pepperoni pizza, and it was absolutely amazing. The crust had that perfect balance of crisp and chew, the sauce was flavorful without overpowering, and the cheese-to-pepperoni ratio was spot on. You can tell they take pride in what comes out of their kitchen.
That said, as great as the pizza was, their calzones are even better. Packed with flavor, perfectly baked, and generously filled, they’re easily some of the best around.
The atmosphere definitely leans toward a lively bar scene, which adds to the charm. It’s casual, energetic, and fun—but don’t let that fool you. The food quality is better than most chain restaurants by a long shot. Tony J’s delivers the kind of experience that keeps you coming back.

Wow! What a burger! My team and I eat a LOT of food on the road during this time of year. Without a doubt the best burger I’ve had in two months. Juicy, heavy, fresh, and delicious. Fries were crispy and properly salted. Just an all around amazing burger. Wish I lived closer.

$2 16 oz. Miller Lites was fantastic! Good prices. Clean bathrooms. Food was really good. Was wondering what was taking so long for our appetizer, and when our main entree came out us and the server realized she forgot all about it. Just ordered a chicken club wrap and mac N cheese bites lol. Tell you what though, when we got those Mac and cheese bites, they were fantastic.

I wanted to share just how impressed we were with our server, Nick. Apparently it was only his 3rd day at this location. He was kind, compassionate, and overall an amazing server!
I got stranded at this restaurant during the flash flood yesterday. I had to wait for my husband to finish work and come check on my car as apparently cars do not enjoy swimming! I utilize the assistance of a service dog and had him with me. I came in disheveled because I was afraid to have destroyed my car’s engine… I needed to use the facilities and discuss possibly leaving my car over night. He didn’t treat me any differently because of my disability and made sure I was taken care of.
Seriously such a kind human being in my moment of peril! The patrons at the bar were super kind too!
Once my husband arrived, we made sure to order a meal. The food was so delicious and Nick was our server for this too! Our food came timely, hot, fresh, and super tasty. Nick and Tony J’s Bar and Grille made a bad and scary day so much better. Absolutely 1000 stars for any time he is working!
On a side note, one employee was misinformed about how to handle a service dog team. No big deal, many people don’t know… and my partner is 120 lbs. I did let management know and they’re already on it.
We would have NEVER gone to this place and this amazing experience with our server, Nick, and with management after has definitely won our affection to come back again sometime.

With all the great reviews. We finally tried out this place today. We had hamburgers and they were very good… We would definitely go back there again. And the service was great and friendly. Shout out to Katie,our waitress. So nice and friendly. In the other man I guess he was the Cook or maybe a manager he was so nice.

My friends and I have been to Tony J’s many times after work, usually in a group of six or more. While we keep coming back for the affordable drinks and decent food, the service has consistently been disappointing—especially with our usual server, Liz G.
Liz has never greeted our table with a smile, offered food or drink recommendations, or even brought waters without being asked. On several visits, our orders were either incorrect, brought out at completely different times, or simply forgotten. It’s frustrating, especially given how often we’ve supported this place.
Tony J’s has potential to be a go-to spot for casual hangouts, but the consistently poor service brings the whole experience down. A more welcoming and attentive waitstaff would make a huge difference. Do better TJ’s!!

Stopped in bc we have heard about this spot on Macomb Eats and also from other bartenders. Took our bartenders recommendations and enjoyed everything. The twice baked Tony Js wings are amazing! We will be back soon! Thank you for a great visit Liz!
