I’ve been coming here since 2022 on and off the food is good I had one ehhh experience with the food. It can get pricey went two weeks ago and spent $85 for three plates. All in all 3/5 the workers were pleasant but they rush you like you’re in a school cafeteria

It was actually called The House when I ordered off of Uber Eats. The corn bread was dry and bland. The yams and Mac n cheese are great. The turkey wings comes as one. The picture demonstrates two comes with the meal. The meatloaf was alright.

If I could give it no stars, I would. Let’s start with the horrible customer service when I called regarding the dressing I ordered and had to throw away bc it had meat and I wasn’t told that it did.
Next, the quality of the food. The catfish was disgusting as was the mac and cheese.the mac and cheese will cut your throat. The turnip greens were sweet. Why were they sweet? The sweet potatoes were decent.
If you want good soul food, this is not the place to go. I’m so disappointed with this disgusting meal. I’ve attached pictures.

Upon arriving I asked the lady if they fixed food with MSG she said no way well I believe that was a lie I got sick that night the food was cold and the customer service was terrible the oxtails are way over priced for 2 oxtails. DO NOT eat here the food is HORRIBLE and that’s an understatement. Meatloaf was burnt and not to mention they give infant size portions (I placed a fork next to it so you can see for yourself), chicken was soggy and was NOT done when I pulled the meat off the bone to inspect. I wish I had seen the reviews before I ordered from here. Mac and cheese taste like water with square cheese on top. I wouldn’t want to eat here again if it was free. “The House” is their new restaurant name but it used to be called “Talk of the town soul food” look them up the food is so horrible a lot of bad reviews, so I see why they are the talk of the town so people can be warned to NOT EAT HERE. They are known as “The House” on Uber eats & Door dash. I wasted a little over $50 here, don’t become their next victim.

Food doesn’t taste great and it’s burnt. I paid too much as it is and for food that doesn’t taste good?? I ordered via uber eats. I received a call that there were out of what I ordered and asked what I wanted based off of the remaining options. I get my food and it’s not even what I asked for after they called me. It’s food I can’t even eat right now. The greens are bland and the Mac and the corn bread is just burnt. I can’t eat nothing on this plate. A waste of time and a waste of food that could have been better. I have heard bad reviews but I always try to give it a chance for myself but I feel like they gave me what they wanted to give me and disregarded what I’m actually wanting and paid for. Disappointing and I will not spend my dollar here if they can’t even fulfill an order properly and not burn food and then sell it!

Man I got tricked.1 star is giving to much. I ordered via Uber eats didn’t realize where I was ordering from I went by those deceptive pictures on UberEat(looks nothing like pics) they adjusted my price for no reason(that’s stealing to me) the food looks old and nasty. I wasted my money and they will have both plates tomorrow. Food arrived dangerously cold, Greens mushy, stew meat looks suspect and taste old tangy, turkey wings tough as a piece of jerky, Mac speaks for itself. I’m scared to eat this. Come on man this should be illegal to sell to people. I want All my money back and this iPhone picture made the food look decent but isn’t.

My daughter had the oxtail and I gasped when I saw the price was $28 for 2 oxtail; however, it was DELICIOUS! She paired it with Mac n cheese and mashed potatoes and their homemade cornbread.
I had a four piece veggie plate which featured mashed potatoes, collard greens, green beans, and yams. They were simply delicious and at a way better price point ($12).
The owner and server were sweet and genuine. This is why people LOVE soul food.
