Let’s start off with the obvious … The sides to meat ratio is absolutely ridiculous! No where in Texas would you get more sides than meat! Since it was my first time here I asked for suggestions for the sides. French fries and Mac n cheese the cutie said. I did not realize the French fries would take up the majority of the plate along with the roll of bread and the Mac n cheese.
And who gives out a bread roll with BBQ? One of my 3 meats was brisket, which I would’ve liked to have made into a sandwich, with some onions and pickles (which weren’t offered). The brisket was cold. And frankly, it just looked like a mess. It wasn’t that tasty
There were 2 small strips of chicken breast. Why?! Typically, it’s a leg quarter. Instead they cheap out and give these two tiny strips.
And the sausage tasted like some economical jalapeno sausage that can easily be purchased at a local grocery store.
The place was smokey as hell. And they hardly had any seats which weren’t tall chairs/stools.
I typically love corn bread and purchased some that was at the counter. I’ve had better corn bread in prison, yo!
You guys should be ashamed of yourself! As should every other joker that gives this place anything higher than 1 star.
I ended up paying $32 for an abysmal 3 meat plate, a drink, and a corn bread. I got hosed … Bad.
First and last time.

The quality of the food was great.
We ordered brisket, pulled pork, and spare ribs – the meats had a nice smoke ring and great flavor. The brisket was chopped and full of bark in the mix.
I did comparative pricing including several BBQ catering companies and Dicky’s had the best value when I considered portion to price ratio. The quality was the unknown and it ended up being excellent.
Thanks Dicky’s team for a great holiday meal. We’ll see you again!
The brisket was super tender and juicy with a nice smoky flavor. The meat pulled apart easily without being dry.flavorful, and really satisfying.
Choice of Barbecue sauces.
