Returned to this place after 14 years to find the food to be so excellent as then! Had the shrimp & chicken w fried rice, wonton soup & crispy egg roll > it was so delicious just like i remembered! The ladies! They are still working there & still so kind & nice < ha they remembered me! > this place is a gem food to be so good since back in 2007 when I first visited when I worked in the H. village. Recommend the flavor here better than anything around lately

Delicious! I used to frequent this place years ago before I started doing reviews. They’ve still got it! The atmosphere is a little dark, but that doesn’t personally bother me. It’s a good mood setting when you want quiet time. Classical music plays overhead and it’s a nice escape from hustle and bustle of every day. The service is fantastic. My tea was never below 1/2 full. I started with the eggdrop soup which was very good. For my entree, I had the sesame chicken with fried rice. The meal comes with an eggroll. Everything was wonderful. That’s probably the best sesame chicken I’ve ever had! The eggroll is perfectly fried and crispy. I forgot why this place was a favorite of mine so many years ago. Glad I visited today. The dining area is small, with about 12-13 tables. It gets busy during the lunch rush. I went for a late lunch and thoroughly enjoyed this almost forgotten gem. I miss the fun placemats they used to have on the tables. “Year of the” rabbit, dog, sheep, etc. They were fun to read, but they no longer have those. The restaurant is very Chinese decorated. It’s a nice little spot. $10.80 before tip. Great value! Don’t skip this place!

I used to go to Hunan Inn when I was little and it was always my go-to place for Chinese food!! We did a big to-go order for a family gathering! We ordered about 8 entrees, pork dumplings, spring rolls, and hot/sour soup! While waiting, the lady who took our order brought us some sodas to enjoy! Then when our food was ready, she said they snuck in more spring rolls and added in crab ragoons to our order on the house!!! The food was so wonderful and took me back to my childhood days of eating there!! They are still rocking it!!

Be ready to TIP or get YELLED at in front of the whole resturant. I mean fully loud voice so everyone turns around and not be allowed to leave until you do. I just went in for a quick lunch and had nothing special. I had water and sesame chicken. I got yelled at 4 times. I don’t normally leave a bad review but as a college student who has a tight budget I recently realized this resturant traumatized me bc now I get food to go and eat in my car. Just wanted to warn my fellow introverts out there to avoid it.

Big surprise. Outstanding food. Carryout. Had Hunan chicken, egg rolls, and shrimp/pork/chicken fried rice. Big pieces of perfectly cooked white meat chicken. Tender, juicy, tasty. Sauces flavored just right, vegetables all fresh and crispy. Shrimp was tender and not even slightly overcooked. All food still too hot to touch when I got home. Can’t wait to try some other items.

I love this place with all of my heart, the workers are so nice and we always get our food hot and fresh. The sesame chicken has to be the best lunch meal eaten, perfect for young men.

This is a best kept secret. The lunch specials are very well priced. You get your entree, a spring roll, and a small soup. The dinner portions are generous. I never spend more than 15 dollars on a visit and leave full. The manager is usually grumpy, but I go for food.

Came here for a pick up order, I placed it then and there. The reception was very nice and put my order quick, the food surprisingly did not take a long time to come out. The place is small but it does have lot of space to sit, it is a bit outdated. The food was okay, it was missing something of flavor.

went at lunch time, got the crispy shrimp outside of the lunch special. my coworker got a lunch special and got a soup and egg roll. the portion size looked the same plus she got the soup and egg roll. the food was ok, my shrimp came on a bed of lettuce another place I like serves broccoli with it instead so I would have preferred that. the shrimp was kinda of small but over all good. the fried rice didn’t have egg or veggie it looked like it was just white rice fried in soy sauce. the waitress never check on us and when we had to go we just got up and walked to the front to pay cause it was our lunch time. over all the food was ok for the price but the dine in service wasn’t amazing.

Visited this week since I was in the area. I read reviews first and decided to give it a try. I must say my plate, the Spicy and Tangy chicken was delicious. Hot and sour soup is really good, better than most I’ve tried in a while. Restaurant was clean and the staff treated me well. Enjoyed my time being there. Will definitely be back for more.
