Pizza was decent but my garlic parmesan breadsticks? Well as you can see there’s almost 0 garlic or parmesan on them. When you’re pregnant and just craving some garlic parmesan breaksticks… opening the box and seeing this makes you so upset you cry. Now I don’t ever want to eat Papa Johns again.

So, we have been going to the Southport Papa John’s for about a year now. At first everything was really good and tasted great. But my past several orders have been horrible!! Started out with a hair baked into my pizza. Yes, they gave me a pizza for a later date, but it was hard to go back for awhile after that. Then we get the free pizza, (which they forgot to write down my name) barely has any cheese on it. The other pizzas tasted off, like the pepperonis were expired. And now today we get a large pepperoni and there was no cheese in the middle. How does that happen? I didn’t get a pic of it before the kids grabbed some, but I did get a small pic of it. And the boneless garlic Parm nuggets were like cheap nuggets with a tiny bit of sauce one them. And two of the 15 were so small they didn’t even make 1 nugget. I’ve complained before, but obviously nothing has changed. And I hate complaining, but this is ridiculous. So, sad to say it’s time to find a different pizza place.

Small mishap with my pizza mostly on my part. Ladies in the store were EXTREMELY sweet about it and offered to fix my issue with no problem. I always use this store and as long as they have people like the ladies I met I will continue to use it. Love it here.

Their food is good. It’s Papa John’s. This particular store’s crust thickness is inconsistent which is fairly normal nowadays. But, their service is horrible. It was 15F outside after the mini-blizzard of January 2026, and I waited at the drive-up pickup window six minutes outside before someone came to give me my food (which I then knew had been sitting there the whole time). I pulled up, waited a couple minutes, rang the buzzer, waited, knocked on the glass, waited, rang the buzzer again, waited, knocked again, and after a moment someone finally came to give me my food. I mentioned about the long wait and he didn’t care and blew me off. This was the third time that’s happened at their drive-thru window, hence me posting a review. They don’t seem to care about the public’s perception of their business operations.

My last two experiences with this papa John’s…
The last time I ordered a pizza and after about 45 minutes to an hour I started wondering where the pizza was. I looked outside, There’s no pizza man and definitely know pizza. They never delivered the pizza, although the delivery driver said that he delivered it to my place describing a home that look nothing like mine. I’d argue with him for 30 minutes before they finally refunded my pizza and decided to bring me a new one. This time I was supposed to have a refund and their system for a free pizza for last time .they didn’t have that, I decided order from them again. This time I went to pick the pizza up, got home and the pizza was black all over the bottom and black all over the top burn to a crisp. I called them. Let them know what happened off of the photo that I posted on this review. They didn’t want to see the photo they wanted me to go drive in 0° weather again to go pick up a pizza but they already burnt and sent me home with… How is it on me to bring that pizza back, go get another one, drive, give them the burnt pizza back and bring home another one… The refused to send the delivery driver or refund the pizza. So either I keep the burnt one or have to drive back all the way over to supper road and return this to get my money back or receive a new pizza…awesome guys ..

If you order the heart shaped pizza make sure you have a pizza cutter. They said they don’t cut that pizza into slices but online it says 8 slices. Smh

If I could give 0 stars I would. So basically after not ordering from PJ for over a year and a half we decided to give them another chance. Needless to say it was just as bad as I remember. After spending 40$ on a medium 2 topping and order of bread with a 9$ tip, The pizza was COLD! Not luke warm literally cold. As if it rode in the front with the AC blasting it the whole way. The crust on half the pizza is so burnt it crumbles when you touch it. To top it off the garlic Parmesan breadsticks had NO GARLIC PARMESAN ! If I wanted to cook a pizza in my own oven I wouldn’t have ordered out The sad part is the pictures make it look better than it is in person ♀️

Recently had a large order right at opening for my staff. Employee named Dalton was very prompt with helping secure this order. Order was fulfilled extremely fast and he even provided plates and napkins! Very happy, will order again. Major asset to the team!
